Who would be our likely candidates to tackle their dynamic duo of Bradshaw and Brown? I'm leaning towards Thursfield and Schulz respectively. Not 100% sure though!

i sya thursfield to brown and mcquane to bradshaw with kel moore onto brennan...
shultz will be floating back to get in their space... that is waht i reckon... if we close them down we wi the game... as well richo back he can give them a chop out

I would think Thursty would be better for the run last week, and he should play on Bradshaw, as he could match him for pace as well as a good spoiler.

Brown is a hard one, as he is more of a strenght player, probably give Moore a shot first up I reckon. Played well on Fev when he tried the same thing (not as good at it as Brown though!).

I think the key here is to stifle Black and Power, choking the forward delivery and releasing some of the pressure on these guys.

Cheers guys (thanks for the feedback) 'cause they are my only major concern. Stop them, and hopefully sneak into the 8 on Sat night!!!

i would go with mcguane to bradshaw and moore to brown. but really we need to shut down black he had 14 clearances against the eagles and has been super all year. i think johnson needs to tag him or bring in jackson to do the job who i think will come in anyway as he was best on for the burgers on the weekend.

Regardless of who goes to who ... how good is it that we actually have OPTIONS down back :)

I think Moore to Brown & Thursfield to Bradshaw and someone like Bowden or Schultz filling the hole.

Joel Bowden must play on brown with schulzy filling the hole. Has held him well in the past. Im confident between thrursty, mcguane, bowden, and schulz we can contain these 2 gorillas.

It's the brennans of the world who worry me most. This guy is a freak and and rip us a new one if he gets going.

I think Thursty will get Bradshaw, Bowden or Moore will get Brown, McGunae will get Brennan and Schulz will get Clarke when he's down there.
I think McMahon will take Rahn Hooper and Newman to McGrath if he still gets a game.

I am a bit concerned about Mitch Clark too I really rate the guy and last time we played them he had the sticky hands in the forward line so we will probably have to send McGuane to him.

I'd say Thursfield to Bradshaw
Moore to Brown
McGuane to Clark

Seeing as we have problems with small forwards who is Brisbane's small forward ?

Hooper and Corrie. Corrie has kicked 17 goals for the year, Hooper has kicked 15. I see Brennan is only listed as 182cm on footywire, surely this can't be right? I always thought he was 190cm+.

As Peejay said earlier, Bowden has always done well against Brown and is defiantly a realistic option.

At the bounce:
Thurstfield Vs Bradshaw: Bradshaw plays deep and isn't particular tall (191cm) or fast however he does have very strong hands and this is why Thursty is the best matchup
Moore Vs Brown: Our best backman against their best foward. Moore showed that he can play CHB when he played on Pavlich earlier in the year. He has been our best backman this year and deserves the first go on Brown
McGuane Vs Brennan: If Brennan starts foward, McGuane should get the gig as he is fast and pretty athletic. If Brennan gets on top, but Moore on him. Brennan has only scored 7 goals this year and isn't a huge threat up foward however he might line up in the middle where he has been good
Schultz Vs Clark: Only match-up left.

Bowden playing quater back loose man in defence

Up foward start the misquito fleet foward line in Deledio, Morton, Riewoldt and Browny to try and sprint off Roe, Merrit and Patful.

Richoman on the wing

When our midfield tears them apart at the clearances and runs them off their feet with our speed and footskills the matchups will be of no consequence:D:cool:

Thursty on bradshaw
moore on brown
mcguan on clark
newman on brennan
bowden on mcgrath
mcmahan on hooper
move the ball quickly into our forward 50 and we should have too much pace for the brisbane backs.

I still remember when mark graham and joel bowden, kept swapping around on johno brown one game and absolutely destroyed him.

i think u r spot on there moore will gt brown first but id like to c bowden on him if brown is playin good, bowden has played well on him before.

Hi guys, should be a good game. Unfortunately I think you guys will win because we're playing away and have been playing terrible footy.

Seeing as we have problems with small forwards who is Brisbane's small forward ?

We don't really have crumbing small forwards you need to worry about. Outside of Brown and Bradshaw, our main goal kickers have been Corrie, Hooper and Johnstone. Corrie and Johnstone are more like midfielders who kick goals on the run, and while Hooper can do some crumbing, he's way down on form recently. Ash McGrath is playing in defence.

It's the brennans of the world who worry me most. This guy is a freak and and rip us a new one if he gets going.

Brennan's been doing his best work this year in the midfield. He could hurt you in the clearances, but hasn't kicked many goals this year.

Yep Mitch Clark's still got those sticky hands. Last year played full forward. This year has been spending most time as back up ruck or at halfback though. Kicks a goal every now and then, but hasn't played as a permanent forward apart from the Geelong game when Brown was injured.
