Heard this rumour from a friend. Before you start the whole joke about sources, I am making this known purely a rumour.

Bradshaw is said to be very angry with the Lions for putting him forward in the deal and does not want to play for them next year. It is believed he will retire and the speculation regarding it is getting stronger.

He is then believed to nominate for the PSD and hopes to get to Carlton. Having been shown around and courted by the Blues he is keen to play here.

I'm not usually one to post rumours but thought it would generate a bit of discussion.

(the rumour that Bradshaw was considering retiring was also floating around Etihad Stadium amoungst the media)

Heard about this too. Would be awesome if we pick him up in the PSD. Should have been added to the trade for Fev (not that I'm unhappy about lachie + pick 12).

ah, carlton at the PSD. the results are always interesting even if not very successful...

i suppose i would take him in the PSD, but again it goes against the stated policy of 25/100 games. no doubt that was initially overlooked because of special fevola circumstances, perhaps they will revert to policy in the PSD.

How would he get to us in PSD....I'm sure there would be clubs before us who would take him. Plus how did his medical go..not too good I suspect. Still I wouldn't be surprised if he retired, he faces being played mainly as a defender if he kicks on.

This was also reported on SEN.
Given that we have a heap of room in the salary cap now, I just wonder if we'd approach Bradshaw to see if he would like to play for Carlton next year.

The part of the rumour that got me was that obviously he has been run through the Visy Park developments and was run through the clubs direction and basically sold to him what the club was about.

It would make for interesting times, if he does infact anounce his retirment and nominate the PSD.

I believe the Lions are having a press-conference shortly, but most likely it will surround Fevoal - the Lion...

Won't happen via PSD IMO.

The Hawks would be negligent in the extreme with their backline issues to let him go through to us.

If we were to take him I'd be tempted (depedning on the depth of talent) to take him in the ND at pick 43.

I would have thought if he was keen to come to Carlton in particular he would nominate them and would some what fall to usin the PSD. Wouldn't be against taking him in the ND if an appropriate pick was used.

I wonder if there is any substance behind the rumoured 'failed medical screen'.

In 2006 Smorgon took over the presidency of the Carlton Football Club. At the same time his cousin David was president of the Western Bulldogs. He held this position for only nine-month stay with the club.
Smorgon was voted out of the presidency on 2 February 2007 amidst claims of election fixing, board disputes, sex scandals and a turmoil ridden period for the club.

The 'stated policy' you refer to was that of the above former president. I've never heard it mentioned again since his replacement.

Bradshaw is not angry with the lions. He always knew that his name might be put up for trade. Bradshaw will be in lions colours next year and is happy to do so. He knows what this footy caper is about.

No problem with that mate, just reporting the rumour that I heard from a number of sources. Interesting to see any developments in the next few weeks.

Id be doing somersaults and blackflips if we "somehow" landed him in either the November Draft or preaseason draft ( if he decides to nominate )
