Ban the smother, it’s way to dangerous.
Need to ban marking too, particularly running with the flight of the ball.
This shit stops now!

Does this action by the AFL imply an automatic appeal from the AFL if he’s cleared? Or are they just making sure it gets heard ?
Almost certainly the latter. Brayshaw has a history of concussion and the longer term benefit of the game was almost certainly taken into consideration by referring it to the tribunal. The below article appearing on the AFL site two days ago meant letting this slide without testing it at the tribunal was never an option for AFL house.

AFL welcomes Senate Report into Concussions

The AFL will stack the tribunal and appeals board with those who they know will see things their way or those whose job is up for renewal this year.

Ralphy on Fox confirmed it’s going to be graded careless, high and severe. Off to the tribunal. * knows why you wasted so much time on this today when it was inevitable.
Fk knows ..but was hoping some that could read would, once the preliminaries were dealt to (and he was charged), would focus on the substantive bit that said it's all predicated on meeting the standards of 'careless', which in my opinion it does NOT and therefore the charge should be appealed.

The power of BRUZ! Madman leapt into the air, took out the glass-jawed fiend running towards him and also managed to knock the MRO the f*** out!

Too powerful for his own good. On the other hand, Michael Christian likes wearing nappies and sh***ing himself.

I WON'T REST until Maynard is set free. I will sleep, probably 8hrs a night, but IT WILL NOT BE RESTFUL.

Maynard is as innocent as he is beautiful.

Maynard is innocent.

Football needs to be honest with itself. It has a duty of care, but it remains a contact sport and these incidents are incidental.

CROSSROAD AHEAD.

There needs to be!

Time to get the media to interview Chrisso. He shouldn’t have put his name to the findings if they weren’t his.

Only my two cents, but the key to beating the charge will now be in Christian’s official role. If, as Ralphy has hinted at with the tweet and again on Fox, he was reluctant to charge him he’d be the first witness I’d call in defending Maynard. Christian knows the machinations of the system better than anyone and if he didn’t feel it was a chargeable offense we’d need Lionel Hutz to stuff this one up.

For someone who prides himself on phrases like “critical thinking”, this isn’t.

If the findings weren’t his, he should resign in protest.

If Maynard isn't cleared to play I'd back the club taking it to court because it's clear he's being held to a different set of rules to that of Cripps, Duncan and McCartin.

Two of those cases occurred this season, while Cripps was cleared and free to win the Brownlow just 12 months back.

Those aren't rulings from a different era.

Personally I don't think the AFL has a leg to stand on if credibility and fairness still matters.

Dave, for a long damned time women couldn’t vote, couldn’t get a university education, couldn’t access a wide variety of jobs… and then when those doors were finally opened it was often accompanied by the sorts of comments you’re now making, suggesting women are undeserving of or unqualified for their position.

Do better.

It doesn’t. And you need to let go of Cripps. The tribunal found him guilty and he only got off because of a legal technicality.
