Player Watch Brayden Maynard

I thought he was back to good form against the Crows last week but just had a couple of horrible brain fades in the last quarter. He wasn't the Lone Ranger there.

I thought last night he was fantastic. He was very clean by foot all night.

He has become a clear best 22 player now which is credit to him, needs take the next step now.

He had a better game than the last few, but still sends shivers down my spine when he touches the pill, never know which opposition player he will hit square on the chest

A bull.

He's one ofthe reasons the future will be good

Has vindicated the decision to get rid of Marley Williams. The cries of regret of us getting rid of Marley seem to have dissipated.

Looking forward to a long career of Crisp and Maynard playing alongside each other as toght capable skilled pacy left foot defenders. Thought they combined superbly last night.

Maynard just needs to quit with the brain fades and poor kicks.

That goes more for Crisp than Maynard. He always looks unsure of whether he should handpass or kick. By the time he's made up his mind, he finds himself in trouble.

He has to be a first only option player, don't let him think.

The two are linked forever unfortunately.

Never say never. Hes improving all the time. He'll never completely eliminate them....thats a given.

Besides, the players you want at your club are sometimes the ones who are prepared to take risks. Its why we all loved Harry so much before he his ego took over. His risk taking was a big contributor to our premiership.

I'd add Langdon to that list as well. His tendency to hold the ball and draw the opponent and create the space for a teammate is also risk taking that should be encouraged but at the same time measured. Sometimes he will get the mix wrong.

He is the player that frustrates me more than any other in our team... Mainly when he tries to overthink it... keep it simple, use that leg to rake it long when possible, and stop trying to overkick/dart the ball so much, and he'll be a super player

Maynards form doesn't make up for losing Williams for nothing.

Apart from Witts, none of those that left last year are really doing that much.
So no real pain there but if even if we had gotten higher picks doubt that Allen would have done anything in trades.

Given his age he has upside so happy to keep playing him. Next year will be his year to show he can be really influence games. Doesn't have to do it week in week out but I would like to see more sparkle.
