We can't lose Bruzzy, he is a heart n soul type but has the Jimmy Clement like ability to play on talls and smalls.

A must keep

No where near Jimmy Clement. Clement could legitimately play on key talls, and monstered smalls.

Maynard is strong on the smalls / mediums, but isn't really good enough yet against true talls. He's more like a better version of Toovey to be honest.

Is Moore the best trade bait we have given his ongoing struggles to get on the park?

PCLs rarely cause prolonged issues, and his form and availability were strong for quite some time leading up to his current injury. I think trading him would be disastrous.

Given our lack of KPP no, but he’s had chronic hammy and now a PCL. Even if his hammy issues have been steady recently it’s always a concern. He has missed A LOT of footy. I just hope it’s not a trend that continues

True, he has been more disappointing that the hype that came with him being drafted. Maynard has exceeded his expectations in contrast and is now moved ahead of Moore as a player and is tougher and quite committed to the cause as a teammate. Moore strikes us fans as being aloof.

You are joking aren’t you? Maynard is easily worth a top 5 pick. And being honest, I wouldn’t trade him for a single first rounder. That’s how high I rate his value to the team. The draft is always a gamble. Maynard is AA quality.

I don't think any team would give up a top 5 draft pick for Maynard.

He has comprehensively beaten Riewoldt and Darling in recent months.

Having a guy who you can play on Riewoldt one week, but then Toby Greene the next is a massive weapon.

Clement never really took the monsters as we had Presti/Wakelin to do that.

Bruzzy and Moore should be locks down back for us for next 5 years.

What are Jack Darling and Jack Riewoldt if not key forwards? Because he's toweled up both this season

Maybe not top 5 but the blues came very close last draft.

But I agree, rarely are top 5 picks traded for established players. Probably only reserved for the very, very best midfielders and KP Forwards.

If a team like Melbourne believe that are a ‘Maynard-type’ defender short on winning a premiership, who knows?

Or if GC want more experienced players in the team, then he would be ideal running the backline.

GC are the more likely but the ski bunnies have made some really brain dead trades over the years.

Yep, but just because they need him, doesn't mean they would overpay for him. The only way we get a pick 5 back for Maynard is if we gave something else to them as well, like our second round pick for example.

I think Maynard's trade value is probably a 15-20 pick.

Like last year, the reason he is not AA is cause he keeps kicking to the opposition.

Really? Out of curiosity, do you think Daniel Rich kicks it to the opposition too much?
I should've stated that I'm a big Maynard fan first and foremost but I agreed with the selection of the AA half back position last year. I couldn't give a rats what other players from other clubs do, I support Collingwood.

So we are looking to use Darcy Moore as bait, to catch a smaller fish no doubt, AA CHB the guy has a real gift for this game not to mention the size and athleticism. Let this guy go at our peril.

Hey,let’s just rid of all our gun players like Maynard and Moore for draft picks, because we know how good Hine is at spotting talent, don’t we?

You would think that you go to the draft to hopefully one day have one of these guys on your list and both are a list need. Guys you build around,

I do love the hope a good draft brings, Shaz and Freeman great example of how these things can blow up spectacularly.

Why the hell is this still a thing? Melbourne would not have the salary cap and Maynard is the last person we would want to trade. This is nonsense brought on by a stupid rumour from a stupid man in western Australia

My point more was - just because he has some turnovers doesn’t mean he isn’t good and won’t be AA. Rich averages almost 4 more turnovers, and he is an AA half back lock this year
