Mate, I had no issue with them training during the season. However, his season has finished. He has no RIGHT / REASON to train.

I don’t get how this is accepted.
Pretty simple really, he is a professional athlete who needs to maintain his fitness to ply his trade. Just as I can go and visit a construction site he can train.

Not questioning him for keeping fit. How come he gets to go to a gym and have a personal trainer when I’m not allowed to lift weights in a PUBLIC PARK by myself?

2 sets of rules.

Nope it's one set of rules - professional athletes by definition are permitted to train as part of their vocation.

I'm guessing you aren't a professional athlete, or in some other vocation which requires you to maintain your fitness to an high/elite level in order to fulfil your role.

The season is over. He doesn’t get any special treatment anymore.

Do retiring players get the same exemption?

He’s not even at the club. He’s also with a personal trainer. Yet, I can’t go to my CA classes, I have do them online. He should train at home. Are professional athletes more important?

Retired players are exactly that. Maynard is in training to move to a new position which requires more work, consequently he needs to work harder at his chosen profession.

It's not about you, I'm sure he's doing what he is allowed to do.

You're kidding aren't you? It's his job, it doesn't just stop in the off season.

It's his job, that's where he earns a living, a good chuck of his time is right there in the gym.

I'm still going to work everyday, should I stop.

I understand when the season is ON. However, his season has finished.

How many people who work in gyms (for example) have lost their jobs and unable to work at the moment? However, he gets to go train with the assistance of a PT.

Why is the PT there and not a club PROFESSIONAL?

It’s just not fair on other people who have been severely impacted but the elite (football players in this instance) get a leg up.

Example:

Imagine if you were a chef, lost your job. Then seeing Ramsey/ Oliver run around in their kitchen with a restaurant full of people in the same state as you?

What a world we live in now where you get questioned for keeping fit.
I woke up this morning and thought to myself what is that, so I Googled it.

Technically, going by the Merriam-Webster dictionary’s definition, woke means “aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)”, but today we are more likely to see it being used as a stick with which to beat people who aspire to such values, often wielded by those who don’t recognise how un-woke they are, or are proud of the fact.

NOT AT ALL 😂😂

Im vaccinated and not hugely impacted by the lockdown. Im just saying there’s a massive double standard for these professionals stars vs Us (normal people).

I can’t go for a walk for more than 2 hours, however, they can have personal training in a gym. Just double standards.

Just thought I’d state it.

His right/reason is that it’s his professional vocation.

He is required to train as a component of his continuing employment

As part of my vocation, I need to go to meetings with clients, communicate with staff, professional development. However, I can’t due to the restrictions.

The rules don’t get bent for me, I’m not asking them too. I’m just stating that in no logical way does his “need to train” outweigh my client meetings, communicate with staff, professional development, etc.

I’m loathe to get involved in this one, but can we please stop with the “but it’s his profession” bullshit! PT’s are not currently allowed to run sessions with other people end of story. I agree wholeheartedly that Maynard should be able to continue training it just shouldn’t be with a PT that he’s obviously got a partnership with (along with Howe by the looks of it).
