I like the rule change, being a fan of rugby I have always felt they do it better. I feel like there is still room to discuss things as long as it is in a respectful manner.

What I want to see is the rule change strictly enforced in junior footy as that’s how they will change behaviour. I know I was a shocker when I use to play juniors all those years ago

Think the average AFL player might not make it all the way to addressing the umpires as "Sir", but you never know.

Look I don’t expect them to go that far. But you can still respectfully make a point without the use of sir

Anyhoo, it's late Monday, and i see no mention of Cotchin being suspended, even though what he did to Whitfield yesterday was much worse than what Maynard did.

I was queuing opposite Maynard waiting to get into the President's function on Saturday, and the thing I noticed was how thin he is through the waist and arse area. I mentioned this to Magpie Girl and asked if she agreed. She said she would check, and when she returned an hour later, she said she agreed with my assessment.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Bruzzy Maynard. Think his return to a predominantly backline role has been a big part of our recent wins. Has been an absolute rock and just turns up when needed. Gotta love him.

Chose the user name as I view the game from the boundary line and it’s every kid’s dream to kick the winning goal from the boundary line. Didn’t realise I’d bumped a thread just wanted to acknowledge Maynard’s contribution as I think he’s been superb recently.

I loved him standing up for Murphy in the 2nd quarter. I felt that was a turning point in the game.

I also feel it was the turning point for Bruz. He lifted from a decent game to a superb one after that. Was just everywhere, and smashed Kozzy Pickett a few times

Absolutely brilliant today. Cracked in all game, used it well and won pretty much every contest I saw him in

His chase down of Pickett early in the game was inspirational. I never would've thought that Bruzzy could run faster than Pickett, but it just shows what steely determination can do!!
