Just so rapt that Bruzzy has signed back on and is a Magpie for 4 more years according to his own statement, but i say it's for life.

Could never really believe that I would ever see him running around in anything but black and white.

He is the Enforcer of the Machine, and we need him back in the side asap so he can deal with those annoying little taggers who seem to gather like a cloud of mosquitos around Naicos.

Bruzza will spray the Mortein ruthlessly.

Well done Bruzza. You have cemented yourself in the legendary status for all time.

Anyway…..
How good is it that Maynard re-signed?

Really good resigning. Competing for the next few years, he's worth the 4 year investment!

The toughest player to pull on our jumper since Millane.

As a Collingwood supporter I can't think of any higher praise that I can give.

MaynHARD 4ever!
You’re forgetting Ryan Lonie.

Very happy that the beautiful brut will remain a Collingwood player.

I would have understood if he chose the money, but f* I'm glad he didn't.

It's not just his toughness but his spirit; the Pies are a different team when he runs out with the jumper.

The club has put up a Bruz highlights package - some great stuff there.
However they missed highlight No. 1.
Yes - when Bruz made Langdon eat dirt after his duck/dinner comment.
Sack the media department!
Also the one in the grim reaper game, in the last few minutes, where he hits an absolute bullet to Pendles, who then goes over the top for Elliott to kick the goal. Magnificent.

Did he just confuse himself by the end? Drafting Cripps wouldn't have stopped us from drafting Bruzzy. The Rendell story is that Cripps made us go off the idea of low endurance meaning low work ethic/professionalism and thus them not likely to make it. Why would drafting Cripps have stopped us drafting Maynard?

Exactly! If anything, drafting Cripps and watching him succeed would have reinforced our decision to also draft Maynard.

I think he just wanted an excuse to make a video that had “butterpie effect” in the title… Personally I think he should have just waited to make a “butterpie effect” video after Zac Butters gets traded to Collingwood! 😝

Just throwing it out there…
Has Fly and the coaching team ever considered starting Brayden Maynard in the midfield?

I reckon it could be worth a look. His physicality, aggression, tackling pressure, and defensive instincts would bring a real edge at the contest. Plus, that penetrating left foot could be a weapon bursting out of stoppage.

He brings an intimidation factor few can match — I’d honestly pay to see him crash in at the first bounce.

Anyone else think it’s worth a shot?

He has a devastating smother too, not sure he should bring it out anytime soon but it’s part of the arsenal and a deterrent factor.

We did that a couple of times in 2023.
