Adelaide's former high performance coach has written a book about his many visits with Dean in hospital and the stories they shared, with all the proceeds going to Dean's wife and their two kids.

You can register for updates on the book (release date etc.) here: http://www.breakfastwithbails.com

Paddy has posted an introductory video on the website.

EDIT: Just saw there was a post in the Non Crows thread, I thought it was worthy of it's own considering it was for a good cause and so it got a bit of extra promotion.

Just saw this link posted by Tex. First chapter available now, book available Dec. 7. http://www.breakfastwithbails.com/preview

THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ - Bails was a legend, a unique character with great humour, and he could always tell a good story. He really cared about us, and I'll always remember the things he taught me, both about football but even more as a person.
You can download a free chapter & Table of Contents if you wanna get an idea of the story and the style from www.breakfastwithbails.com/preview

Holy crap - read today's Advertiser for the excerpt about Gillon McLachlan and the tanking controversy - he has some questions to answer now

What a corrupt bastard

Sounds pretty bad doesn't it. Mind you it also sounds like that is how most conversations go between the crows and AFL.

Working from home this week so I don't have access to the loo paper, does anyone know if there is a link to this article ?

EDIT: Got it from the pressdisplay thingamy bob.

EDIT x2: Gillon can go forth and multiply with himself, if Gillon was confident in the decision and his conduct he would of given more than a "no comment".

The AFL should apologise to Bails family for sullying his good name.

The hilarious thing is that there are some people who believe that Gil is a Crows supporter..........

It's when we needed strong leadership at the crows' to stand up to the Afl if they were using threats to get their way for a desired outcome. Would have been interesting if Fagan rather than suck-up trigg was CEO.

You do have to wonder how much the Afl have predetermined outcomes without going through a proper process on some issues... Then when they don't get their way you see the vlad dummy spits.

Afl leadership has lost it's way imo since Jackson left & biggest mistake was not replacing him with Brian Cook. I feel much more comfortable with leaders who have the games best interests at heart rather than their own egos. I think Mark Evans at least is a good appointment.

If what has been alleged is true, the Afl should be looking for a new CEO as that behavior is an abuse of power & the ramification is he cannot be trusted with the role.

Drug saga and their "Tribunal" is a great example.

some issues? All issues... I have no faith in the integrity of the AFL whatsoever and they've proven time and time again they don't deserve it.

What appalling behaviour from Gillon, yes you're correct that he should apologise to the family.
Then Fitzpatrick needs to apologise on behalf of the Commission.

Once they've both apologised they must resign from their positions.

Great standards and ethics set by these two.

If true, it is actually worse than what Bailey was asked to do...

Will be interesting to compare to the Independent WADA one...

I personally feel that if the players get through the WADA hearing unscathed we can accept that outcome. WADA have no interest in the AFL and have brought down bigger name athletes than a few guys who play a regional sport in a country of a mere 23million people.

I don't believe all tribunal outcomes are predetermined when players don't accept penalties, but I agree most things are suspect!

Reading that piece in the tiser made my blood boil.

These pricks ruin lives and think nothing of it.

These are the sames pricks dishing out punishment to others with regards to bringing the game into disrepute.
These are the same pricks that talk about upholding the reputation and integrity of the game.......what a load of bollocks.

Bunch of pathetic low lifes!!

Just need to recall the Rendell situation where trigg bowed to Vlad's pressure & sacked him on the back of misconstrued information from a proven lier misfud. Funny how misfud got of scott free... Yet happy to wreck Rendell's reputation with some inappropriate comments in the media. Guilty without any proper investigation. No apology given when the truth came out.

well the MRP is small-fry compared to the stuff that's really going to hurt their hip-pocket, and even then guys like Buddy would have to rip someone's head off to get more than two weeks while the Ziebells of the competition get made example of.

the switch is about to go over into full-on rant mode so I'd better leave it at that.

they get away with it because they know all too well that the supporters passion lies with their club and the only way to "vote with your feet" against the AFL is to abandon your club as well.

I agree I should have said 'most' not 'some' issues, just not 'all' issues. ;)

Btw, it is concerning the Afl love to make examples of people - before properly investigating incidents. Hence inconsistency.

We're like FIFA, but amateurs.
