Are you solely basing that on his employment history at JP Morgan or do you have specifics? My first thought is why would we be interested in swapping out one bloke with a sketchy white collar history for another, but then remembered this is Carlton.

Priestley appointed President of the Carlton Football Club
The Carlton Football Club has confirmed to its members that the highly credentialled Robert Priestley has been appointed the Club’s 32nd President.www.carltonfc.com.au
This should be a new thread, right?
Rather than changing the title of the Sayers thread?
There are specifics in the public domain relating to his time at JP Morgan and the fallout from that with ASX. His involvement in a cartel case, where he sought immunity under the first-in principle, then walked back legally-binding statements he made, etc. It was pretty darn grubby but for Carlton it's more of the same really...Are you solely basing that on his employment history at JP Morgan or do you have specifics?

And start a thread for our new spearhead, Rob Priestly.

IMO, the biggest and most important question that needs to be answered by the board is, why members no longer vote for board members/presidents. A very undemocratic process.
Why is a democracy necessarily a good thing when it comes to who leads the club? Have you met the average supporter?IMO, the biggest and most important question that needs to be answered by the board is, why members no longer vote for board members/presidents. A very undemocratic process.

Luke Sayers, a flag drought and communism: Members unload at Carlton AGM
Two things were at the forefront of Carlton members’ minds at the club’s AGM – how long did they have to wait for a flag, and who was replacing Luke Sayers on the board.www.theage.com.au
It's so that they get people with the necessary expertise on the board.
A professional process, rather than an undemocratic one.
