To be fair he did absolutely zip in his first year. And then last year in the space of about half a VFL season he went from a certain delisting to a certain promotion.

I think Macaffer is the long term replacement for Lockyer in our team. I think his versatility gives him a real leg up in cementing a spot in the 22 next year. I'd like to see him used off the HFF next year because he is such a good user of the ball plus he is dangerous around goals. The more good kicks we have when we enter our forward 50 the better IMO. That said the fact he can play HBF and in the middle is a real bonus too. Was genuinely impressed with him against Adelaide, he really stood up and showed something.
