Brett peake

Time will tell as to whether Indigenous Round played any part, but he is capable and provided run when others were struggling. 9 contested possessions (21 in total with 86% efficiency) with the score assists was a strong performance.

Why on earth would the Indigenous Round have assisted his performance

Couldnt believe how much he was running around at an Auskick clinic today , day aftre a big game. He must have been on red cordial. While the other saints were standing around Peake was running among a pack of grade 3's and 4's. He'd let them get way out in front, then run past the lot of them full bore. Looked like he was having a ball, and so did the kids. Good on ya Brett.

Yeah, you thought he was indigenous :o At least you quickly looked it up and found out he wasn't :thumbsu:

Dur!

Maybe you can get straight to the point next time and save me the trouble.

Hopefully the AFL will expand into NZ so I can "nyah" you in ten years time.

How good was the Peakemeister today?

Scored the opening goal and his brilliant running goal in the 2nd quarter was the highlight of the day for mine, then capped it off with that intercept goal in the third quarter.

The Freo supporters were booing him early and he shut them up big time.

Take a bow Peakey.

Ross Lyon telling Peake to be awesome today.

Great coaching Roscoe :thumbsu:

Excitement machine.

Today and last week is why he's in the team ahead of Grammy.

Lightning Pace Peake> Gram
Long bomb , vaughly on target Peake> Gram

I still think something has gone wrong with Gram's body, he's not as fast or agile as he was.

Has picked it up in the last couple of weeks, he must've been told its time to show something or that's it?

That running goal was something I've been waiting for since the start of 2010.

His attack at the bottom of the packs was outstanding, for a perceived soft outside played, he showed some grunt in and under yesterday. His outside work was his best as well.

Did'nt like Peake as I had never saw a game where I considered he was not a liability to the team.

But the game against Freo, he was one of our best. Without doubt the best game I have seen him play.

Problem is should I begin to like him or become upset that he had all this talent but was not showing it.

At least he got us some points. Ryan Gamble kicked a bag against his old VFL side.
You would think that there would be sufficient motivation for sucess over and above the sticking it up your old teammates thing.

FWIW, I thought he made a very good sub on one of the earlier rounds. He does have speed to burn, which can help at the tail end of a game, when everyone else is slowing down.

Does anyone actually know what he did? Happy to take it anyway.

mark harvey had a hand in it i reckon. substitution was made. roberton came on to the ground and ran straight torward peake, roberton started to rough him up, umpire ran towards them, peake had enough of the jumper punches he was coping with the umpire just there and decided to show roberton how it was done. umpire then paid a free down field and gave him a report.

i might be reading too much into it, but i reckon harvey was trying to make a statement by targeting peake.

His PF was very good too.

Just the small matter of the 2 GFs, but he wasn't Robinson Crusoe there.

I think a speedier team lifts him up. Him, Joey and Steven made for a pretty good combo. Add Cripps (next year), Ledger, Crocker and a few others and it might really suit him. That's the theory anyway.
