What do you predict will happen with Brett Voss this year.

Will he kick on?
Will he drop away?

I am a big fan. If you have ever met him you know how down to earth he is. It was great to see him do so well last season.

What do you think?

Lovely man, do doubt about it. To see him fire up against his more famous brother this year was one of my top 10 highlights.
Hopefully he can kick on, and reach the proverbial next level. With spots becoming so hard to come by at St Kilda, he will have to.
If he shows the quiet work ethic and team oriented play he has done over the past few years, he is a lock.
Quiet achiever, who will hopefully make alot of noise in '04!

He played all 22 games in 2002 with what we later found out was a bout of osteitis pubis.

Got off to a slow start in 2003 before making a dramatic turnaround.

With his courage and ability to read the ball in the air, Brett would almost be our first player selected. I've got a lot of time for him, he's worked hard and really taken the opportunity that the footy club offered him.

If he starts off in 2004 where he left off, he'll have a big year and it won't be long before the rest of the competition can see that he's a damn good player in his own right.

Brett really took his game to a higher level in the Brisbane match.
He continued to play at the higher level for the rest of the season. He did all the one percenters and exhibited such courage that he inspired the rest of the team to a better performance.

Can he step up again this year? YES.

The St Kilda backline is evolving into one of the better backlines - our problem has been depth. With our recruiting this year we opted for depth (rather than mindlessly persuing the youth policy). I think this might result in greater consistency.
Voss is an integral part of the backline and is capable of stepping it up yet again. His leadership and courage inspires and his toughness is necessary when we come up against teams like Brisbane or Port.

My favourite player - toughest on the list.

Best player in the second half of the year by a street. One of a few who never dropped his head and always gave 110%.

A bloke you'd want in the trenches.

He doesn't need to kick on - he just needs to keep doing the same things he did in 2003. If he does, our backline is infinitely more solid.
