Bring back Ottens, says McDermott

Adelaide's first skipper, Chris McDermott, is adamant the Crows must turn over 10 to 15 players next season in a spring clean. He says the Crows should begin by bringing home Richmond big man Brad Ottens.

Oh dear, please let this not turn into a Gaspar-like situation. Offer Otto a new 3 year deal on the same $$.

If we lose Otto then we might as well put Andy Kellaway in the ruck for the next 3 years. Staff's going to be doing well to play more than 14 games a season and even then can't be expected to ruck more than half a game.

Ottens can catch, kick (admittedly infuriatingly inaccurately sometimes), mark and tap. He's young, should still improve and every other club in the league would love him.

Don't do it Tiges.... you won't get as much as he's worth and we'll all look stupid next year and beyond. Again.

i would only trade him for a kings ransom. if they crows want him then put it on the table and it would have to be damn good! will not be a gaspar situation as he most likely wont want to go to the bottom team in the PSD. with gas we had a gun to our heads as freo would have gotten him for nothing. if you want him crows then put your money where your mouth is and that will most likely mean your first round pick and a good kid, preferably a key position or ruckman. Otherwise we will be keeping him thanks. he may not even want to go. Otto doesnt have as big a pull to SA as some might think imo.

Don't listen to anything that Mcdermott has to say, he coached my SANFL side North Adelaide and he did a terrible job, all he did was almost send us bankrupt on and off the field.

But in regards to Ottens don't make the same mistake as Gaspar, but get something from the crows in return.

Keep Ottens coz then we are stuck with Marsh and Staff (he is good but too old)
