With the retirement of Jason Saddington I am now older than every player on our list. I've got Stevo covered by about 10 days.

First I found a couple of grey hairs in my Movember Mo, and now this...if I wasn't rich, with a hot wife and huge wang I would be getting mildly depressed about now.

Well, this is all very civilised...

I'm not quite there yet but it can't be too long until i'm in the same boat (I'm banking on Stevo being around for a while yet) and that will truly prove a sad day in my life.

Also, i must say it's hugely depressing when you look at Caleb Tiller's DOB and he was born in 1991. Surely people born in 1991 are just little kids, not AFL footballers? Surely?

Unfortunately I was afflicted by the same circumstance when Justin Madden retired. Even the ageless 'Braddles' was younger than me at that stage. You know you are getting old though, when you start calling out "good boy", when a player in his mid-20s does something of note.

That is so true. I yell it all the time even though I feel a little queezy when realising I've done a Bert Newton after Eddie has rammed one home.

Clearly he is not appreciating the deep subtext to my post.
It's all about the evolution of the game, coming to grips with advancing years, and a little on the role of capitalism in a modern western society.

Nothing wrong with going out disgracefully...as the Big Yin said, better to be windswept and interesting than beige.

I'll concede my chances of being drafted are looking pretty slim though. I was kind of banking on the AFL evolving into an old mans game, but apparently not the case.
