Brisbane-based Cats group?

Just out of curiousity, I thought I'd ask whether there are any other Cats supporters up here in Brisbane who'd be keen to head to a local pub to watch each of our away games in 2012.

I see that there are Metrocats and Perth Cats groups set up, and I'd enjoy having a beer and chatting about our boys with other Cats fans on a regular basis. There are often a few Cats fans at the Piney when we play, so I know there are a few of us about.

Looking forward to having the boys up in QLD for 3 games next season - Christmas has come early!

Hey there! Yep a mad catter living in Brissie here. Go to the Piney whenever there is a big Cats game that isn't at the Gabba/Gold Coast. Had my first taste there for the upsetting 2010 prelim but then got redemption this year for the Pies game. Also at the Blues, both Swans games and a host of other non-geelong games. Pineapple Hotel is definitely my pub of choice for big AFL games. Friday night in particular.

Wouldn't surprise me if we've bumped into each other and had a chat before actually. I'm really short, wear my cats jumper and usually there with 2-3 other mates (Lions and Swans and Gold Coast supporters unfortunately).

Would be great to enjoy the games with some other Cats fans in Brisbane.

Yep, I'm up for it. Got a bunch of little'ns so don't get to games much, but when I do I get to the pineapple as well. In-laws on the Sunny coast so might be able to catch a game or two up there. Where do you watch footy on SCoast?

Well, I'm happy to organise either some informal get togethers or to organise something more formal if it helps to kick off a SEQ Cats group.

Is anyone on here involved with the Metro Cats or Perth Cats and has an idea of how those groups got started? I'm happy to chase up a couple of pubs to show our away games if there's a push to watch somewhere other than at the Piney. Perhaps a venue would even chip in some discounts for us...
