Brisbane Gabba Seating ?

Hey guys i was just wondering im making my way up to the gabba for the blues vs the lions ... i havent been to the gabba before and i was just wondering if anyone can tell me the best seats in the house to watch a game of footy... i dont like being far away from the action, dont mind the 2nd tier aswell.... can u advise me the best seats to purchase ? ...

There are no seats away from the action at the Gabba, except for maybe behind the goals back row as you are under the grandstand. Fantastic viewing ground in general. Upper tiers are considered better viewing than ground level as you can see everything like you are sitting on top of the action. I prefer ground level wing to 50m arc though as you get to see the interchanges, players warming up and there are big screens each end to watch anything in the extreme pockets that are hard to pick up on.

Also heading up. Contacted the club about tickets about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard back. Got my membership kit in the mail today and it says in there that the Club has tickets four weeks out from interstate games. Will definitely be getting them from the Carlton - Ticketmaster don't go on sale until the week of the match, or you can buy the gold ticket for $105 bucks a pop.

Pineapple Hotel is always good for supporters of both teams to gather before and after. Generally pretty good spirit.

The Lions/Ticketmaster have swung some deal where people who buy tickets to round 1 have priority access to Round 2 tickets.


May have implications for interstate people trying to get tickets to round 2.

I imagine Carlton have an allocation of tickets too though.
