He was good on the weekend until he had to come off after getting smashed

I think we need a back pocket who can play a little tighter than Hayden. We seemed to get carved up by the small forwards. Even the mediocre ones, in the last few weeks bags have gone to Matthew Stokes and Mark Lecras.

That's true about the small forwards.

But re-watching the last 2 games, 3 of that 5 goals Stokes scored had absolutely nothing to do with Hayden and with Lecras on the weekend he scored 2 of those goals from frees and played basically the number 1 target for 3 quarters.

I still think Hayden is a 1st class defender in all manners.

I agree, good observation about the small forwards. Thornton plays on them too and although I appreciate his run out of defence, I don't think he has a good sense for positioning himself and can be run off of quite easily.

I have played against Brock in under 15's I think, he is from the Peel region isn't he? I also played Cricket with a Brock!

He is a talent I tell ya! He can bowl pretty well! I hope he becomes a great player for Freo!
