MIGHTY PIES
never taken much notice of motor sport but knew brockie was a good pies man. just read the artcile in the Sunday Herald Sun about PB and his personal history. Seems the Pies weren't the only thing he had a weakness for!! Pretty sorry last 18 months for a legend but I guess it can happen to anyone - obviously no character reference needed for state funerals.

Have to admit i was a little surprised about his past and personal life. Looks like his media people did good work keeping this stuff out of public knowledge.

And how bitter is his ex, she is not really doing her self any favours with some of her comments. And his girlfriends ex husband was rather nasty as well, saying he got what he deserved.

He may have wrecked their lives, but she seems to be having 50 cents each way, one minute saying how he was such a great bloke then in the next paragraph laying the boots. Sometimes you are better of saying nothing and letting things rest.

Bev's comments to me seemed well balanced. Just telling it like it is, and I got the impression she loved him deeply despite his flaws.

In fact, she defended him against accusations of being a woman beater. Hardly holding a grudge.

because theres a time and a place for everything.

the time for those sort of comments isn't just after someone has died... and the place certainly isn't in the public arena.

P.S. i haven't read any of the comments. have hardly picked up a paper in recent weeks. but the above is just just a general rule for this sort of situation.
