Every time we have a loss the draft penalties get mentioned regularly on this board. For those of you who believe there is no hope for the side with the list we have why even bother posting on this board?
I for one believe that we are not getting the best out of our list for a host of reasons. There are others on this board who also have opinions as to why we are under performing. Some of these reasons may be extreme at times but at least they are passionate enough to not give up.
There is no doubt that had we had our picks we would have a better list...no one I believe would argue with that. However we don't know if a better list would improve the side as much as what many suggest. It is obvious that the side has many deficiencies however many of these have little or nothing to do with talent.
On fox yesterday Chris McDermott made continual references to mistakes that Carlton were making in his opinion. Such things as forward line structure, moving the ball too slowly and the fact that our players play head footy rather than instict footy. These are all aspects that can be improved with the list we have.
So far this season the things that Chris has highlighted have cost us games we could have won. So perhaps Jesus may not have coached us to any more wins as one post suggested but adhering to some of McDermott's constuctive advice just may have.
To those who want to be victims and write the club off until we get heaps of high draft pics please take a holiday or look deeper.
