Not really. I just shake my head at some peoples naivety/stupidity.

Once again you're the voice of reason. It's just like when all the chicken littles were saying we over paid for Tarrant, you saw through their stupidity and realised it was a smart trade that saw us win our first flag.

And what did you say at the time??

Tarrant trade and Broughton trade.....what a comparison:thumbsu:

It doesn't matter, I've been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again. I just thought that if I pointed out your history you might learn some humility.

Would you like me to point out to you the countless occasions where I have admitted that I am wrong here to make you feel better??

I may well be a bastard. But I am a bastard who is happy to admit when I am wrong!

btw...Tarrant would have been best 22 today if he was still with us.

My apologies for agreeing with what the market was prepared to pay for GB and laughing at Apuchars stupidity in my sig. Not.

I don't have a problem with you having an opinion, I have problem with you calling others childish, naive, stupid, muppets, etc for disagreeing with your opinion on something so subjective.

The search function is your friend.

There are plent of posts for you to see.

Hop to it.

Or will it interrupt another of your famous lunches?

That seems like your problem, not mine.

ym's tantrum about the Broughton trade was based on nothing but naivety. You can only receive what the market is willing to pay. Trying to sell a 2008 White Toyota Corolla for a 2011 BMW price just isn't going to work.

And if my signature wasn't written by a stupid muppet...

I say, well spotted old chap!

My point is that you and the market have been wrong before, yet you still carry on like anyone who dares to disagree with your opinion is flat out wrong.

Oh yes, and I am the only one rolling my eyes at this.

The market cannot be wrong. The market is what it is.

My opinion is that railing at what was wanted against what was received is a pointless exercise.

It's not like it was a jewish fire sale, regardless of what some people think.

You can only be sure that you have achieved market value if you test the market properly. I think a few of us remain unconvinced that Bond tested the market properly, or even knows how to.

Well remain unconvinced.

Nothing that I can say will change your mind.

One minute Bond is too hard arsed in his negotiations, such as Clark. Nek minnut he is a soft touch.

Fairly obvious that Broughton was simply shopped way too late in the trade period. For whatever reason it seemed hastily arranged as a plan b or c. Trading at the death after most other clubs have already settled up was a surefire way to miss a more appropriate deal
