He seems likable for a piece of Carlton flotsam.

Hard to fathom that a side that won 15 games, had a combined total of votes of 63.

The umpires clearly didn’t rate our players in all those tight wins.

That would have to be a record low number for a 15 win team.

I've really lost interest in this award over the years tho. Way too focused on mids, and even there mainly on disposals. Felt like it used to be slightly less predictable, but maybe not.

Given we can’t trust umps to make correct umpiring decisions when they’re staring them in the face it’s no surprise the Brownlow has became heavily reliant on stats.

Nice to see N Daicos poll well in his debut year though.

I'm guessing Nick was helped by our low disposal counts. Umps couldn't work out which of our mids had an influence so just gave votes to the player with the most disposals. Not saying he didn't deserve it.

Total disposals seem to decrease in importance every year, except at the Brownlow.
