Backstreets and Jungleland tonight I hope.

Though last night that Born to Run was nearly my highlight. For a song that has been a show standard for so long, last night's version was absolutely brilliant. Far better than Sunday night (although that was also great), with both the band and the crowd giving it everything they had.

Also, I'm not sure I'm ever going to get sick of seeing GOTJ played live with Tom Morello. It's mesmerising. Tom has become very, very popular with the fans and I'm just so glad that he is on this tour.

Leaving to line up soon.

Better than night one. Touched Bruce's hand, looked Clarenece in the eye several times, got tears during Rosalita when it happened. Gave Garry the thumbs up which he acknowledged, and the same with Tom. ******* amazing night. ******* wow.

My tickets were a Christmas present, but **** I wish I was in the pit now, even on the night I was thinking it looked awesome - but after the level of interaction they have... Would be amazing.

Glad to hear you've found the shows to be decent Cruyff ;)

I walked in at 7.20 and was towards the back of the pit, but it was still incredibly close. Loved watching Max following Bruce with his eyes all night.

So if you're in the pit and you're not one of the people lining up 2 days in advance, don't worry. You'll be fine.

Glad to hear you've found the shows to be decent Cruyff ;)

Yes I am relieved about that too. Cruyff14 has been quite reserved this whole time, and I wasn't really sure whether he was a fan or not. The lad gives nothing away.

Went last night, birthday and Bruce double celebration :thumbsu:

I know i'll have people thumbing their noses at me at what i am about to say, but i wish i had it in me to be able to go to every show he has done this tour (both Melbourne and other states). Reading fan accounts on here and other forums, have me envious.... but i just couldn't do it. Probably shows the lack of a fan i am, for me last night was plenty. I am satisfied with what i saw and i can tick off that i finally saw Bruce & the E Street Band live. Great entertainment and leaves others around his age group (hello Meatloaf) for dead.

I can see where other people are coming from (ie the minority) in not being happy that they may not have heard their favorite song. But each and every one of his songs that he plays are something special and a privilege to hear live. I do have my favourites, but i usually rotate between the songs i like as well as other random gem's in between when i listen at home.

When I was 15 years old I remember listening and learning the words to every Born in the USA song on my boom box cassette player.

I remember reading about the legendary 3 hour sets and wondered if I would ever see one.

Sadly I missed the 85 tour.

I saw the GOTJ tour at the Palais...and then the 2003 at Ethihad and was only half satisfied.

Last night, the venue, the list, the band made that dream come true.

At 44 years of age, I finally saw the real Bruce Springsteen and E Street 3 hour extravaganza and it was everything and more that the 15 year old kid dreamed about....

Nothing wrong with that at all. Each show is a work of art and all of us would be satisfied by just one show. Some of us are gluttons or would like to be obviously.

I'm fortunate in that I saw the Born In the USA tour and so it didn't matter as much that I didn't hear favourites like Bobby Jean, Cover Me, Darlington County etc, as he did them all back then. He also did The River, Racing in the Street, Out in the Street, The Promised Land, which he didn't do at my show this time around. Probably just Downbound Train and No Surrender that I really wanted to hear that I haven't heard yet.

The audio for the whole Mar 14 concert is here and whoever did it did a pretty good job. Fairly clear. I love the bit between 42:30 and 44:30 in Ruins, where he finally tames the crowd from yelling out. Very spiritual moment.

Cruyff14 and jpkennedy where were you guys last night? Sounds like you might have been just to the right of the small stage that juts out but on that corner rail..

One thing that is quiet incredible is that Sydney and Melbourne have both got 3 shows in a row. In the USA in the first 5 weeks he did a few back to back shows in Philly, Jersey, NY and LA and then in Europe he did big stadiums one night shows in most towns, but did 2 shows in Barcelona, Dublin, Bergen and Gothenburg. Also did a double night in an indoor arena in Paris. Back in North America he did a mixture of large stadiums and indoor smaller venues. The new Meadowlands/MetLife Stadium in New Jersey was the only venue he did 3 consecutive shows. See tour dates and venues at

We've got a lot less states than the US. And if you wanna see multiple shows in Europe its quite easy to just go to another country.

All that is true but in 2003 it was only 1 show in each of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane at stadiums until they cancelled the Mt Gravatt/QEII/ANZ/QSAC stadium show and put on 2 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

I must be a groupie - I recognise 6 or 7 people in the photo of tonight's crowd from last Friday night when i was right up front.
