I liked him at carlton and didnt understand why he couldnt get a game there (just couldnt believe the lazy remarks wouldnt of been offered a one year extension if true), he is the perfect foil ruckman for Fraser, Fraser is all finesse and skill not great body on body, where as Bryan is bash and crash, hard at man/ball, can ruck (tries just as useful as richards), and lay the boot into the ball as good as anyone. Very happy he is finally getting a game.

This could finally be the end of Guy Richards.
If Bryan can put a few solid games together, Richards will be gone.
We'll need to trade for or draft another ruckman or 2 anyway.
Looked through some team lists and Adelaide seem to have about 5 ruckman.
Young John Meeson drafted at 9 a few years ago could be worth a shot if he wants to play so footy as he seems down the pecking order at Adelaide. Can he play and what type of ruckman is he?

So do I, but realistically if the Lions were to trade a ruckman it would be Beau MacDonald not Wood, Charman or Leuenberger.

If we could bring in an experienced ruckman like Charman (who would cost a bit) and then find a young ruckman in the draft of rookie draft then our ruck department would be in great condition.
A combination of Charman/Fraser would be deadly. Especially if Charman could hold down 75% of the duties.

Not many clubs would be too interested in McDonald. He was great before his damaged his p-cruciate and suffered the hammy issues. I would still consider him for a quick fix if we didn't loose a lot for him.

Both teams wont have a ruck superstar so it wont be a huge disadvantage...

Maybe a 3 way with a team who needs what we've got, and could chuck in a sweetner. Would be unwilling to give up half good draft picks for any ruckman that people don't want.

His doing well Bryan he is good around the ground picking up touches he has a massive left foot kick and did a great tap to Thomas if i can recall.

Bloody hope so... Bryan is playing great. Getting the taps and also getting into the game, making a difference. Richards does nothing other than ruck, and he is way too soft, Bryan has guts and knows how to use his body! Would definitely like to see him out there every week instead of Richards.

Bryans crash and bash has been good. Not best on ground but earned his spot. This will hopefully make Richards have a long hard look at himself and realise what is needed at the top level. Very encouraging.
