Just a reminder.

Which is great because it will actually force those Collingwood hating jerks to talk about us for the first time in 3 weeks. It must BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRN Healey that they have to talk Collingwood.

I'm sure he'll be on for at least 2 minutes before they have 'no time left'.

Ed, do you think you could post a summary here? Sadly, China doesn't seem to see the wisdom in showing Healy on TV!

The only problem with Bucks being on the couch is we will have to sit through about 30 minutes of Healy, Roos and Sheahen patting each other on the arses about things they predicted right, while ignoring everything they actually got wrong over the past week.

On The Couch has become almost irrelevant because AFL 360 before hand recaps the weekend, and then the OTC crew just go over the same stuff.

And then a few hours later Caro and Hutchy come on, wow, how irrelevant must they feel now.

I'll watch Bucks of course though, his media performances so far this year have been grand, I said his attitude and response to the media after the Carlton loss would turn our season around, and it did.:)

I like Roosy's questions it is coach to coach stuff, was good. Bux still plays the straight back though, he really does keep stuff in house. Though he did show a little bit that he wants Cloke to step it up.

glad i dont have to hear sheahans bullshit.Bucks is a class act.I think the footy world were all hoping collingwood and bucks would crumble after what happened with mick and ed but bucks just gets on with usual buisness and on top of that tells the media "we should all be listening to mick"instead of getting involved in the blow up.The outsiders need to stop hoping for collingwood to fail so hard.shouldn't healy be focussing on melbourne and what a rabble that team is.I mean as if travis cloke would go there:p

So what was Asked and How did Bucks Answer?

Nothing too significant. Was surpised Sheahan didn't go on and on about the Malthouse thing, didn't even raise it.

Stuff like is the contract affecting Cloke, Bux said maybe something is he's been down a bit but expects him to turn around.
What's up with Daisy? Bux said 1st game back after 4 weeks but footage of his game showed him that his running efforts were there so expects his touch to be back quickly.
Is there a problem with a Harry 1 on 1? He sort of evaded it a little by saying that the midfield pressure has caused a lot of the issues because too much space is given to the forwards but said that part of their game is coming together.

Not a lot else.

All sounds pretty positive, apart from Harry O. Sounds like they've recognised the issue and are in the process of addressing it or trying to find why Harry O is playing so bad this season.

And harry is out of contract this year. could help us if we don't have to give him an upgrade.

On the other side, Sidey and beams are both increasing theirvalue by the week. Geoff Walsh probably pulling his hair out.

Hypocrit.

Hypocrit.

Why is he a Hypcrite?

Matty is saying that why does Buck have top Put up with Questions from the Media in a Interview Like This.

When Bucks killed a Growing Problem with 1 Press Conference after the Blues Thumping we got

Sheahan is an absolute ******, what the **** were some of those questions, are Pendles, Swan and Sidebottom covering up cracks? So Beams, Wellingham and Blair are considered cracks? Haha get ****ed Sheahan you piece of shit trash journo.

For those who couldn't watch, the 2 clowns and Roos were asking very negative questions overall, and brought up negative topics.

- Cloke's contract issues and form
- Are a couple of players basically carrying the side?
- Is Harry O'Brien shit?

The most positive thing they said was that Bucks in the media during the Maguire/Malthouse spat was top notch, and they feel people like him more as a result, to which Bucks replied, "Winning 5 in a row helps". Legend.

On Cloke:

When asked on Fox Footy's On The Couch if the speculation surrounding his contract was affecting his form, Buckley said: "Something is."

"He's not playing his best at the moment and he's only human.

"He's a big unit, he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders at times, as all high performers do.

"I think … it would be taking a toll on him in some way, and I suppose that's where you rely on the strength of the football club and your teammates and the coaches around to simplify your role and to make it as enjoyable as possible.

"There are times in a football career when it's not so enjoyable and some of it's in his control and some of it isn't.

"I'm pretty confident we'll get a really strong performance from him on Saturday night."

On cracks in the playing group:

He basically said that he believes we're getting a good contribution from a lot of young players. They spoke briefly about Lachie Keefe and his background and introduction to Football, and Bucks praised him for standing up in an 'undersized defence' given the absence of Reid, Brown and Tarrant all season.

On Harry 'O:

He spoke about how the midfield needs ot be putting more defensive pressure so that guys like Harry don't get singled out. He said that we haven't really nailed that part of our game yet, but we're building towards it.

He was great through the whole thing, and even gave back to both Sheahan and Healy in his awesome dry way.

Sheahan prodded him on Thomas, basically indicasting Thomas has been shit, to which Bucks VERY dryly said, "He's....one week back from hamstring...", Sheahan stumbled for a sec and talked abotu how his form wasn't great before that though.

Bucks agreed , but talked about watching down field footage of Daisy and noticing his running game coming back slowly which was good to see.

Roos brought up Scott Pendlebury as the "most efficient footballer I've ever seen!", to which Bucks agreed without really saying he agreed.

Bucks gave him a story from Friday about panicking when he saw ice on Pendles calkf, only to find out that Pendles did that himself to keep swelling down to increase his output by even half a percent. "Which gives you a bit of an insight into the mind of the bloke".

He performed brilliantly given how negative the whole tone of the interview was.

...

Thanks for the summary Ed.

I don't mind 'negative' interviews - they're usually a lot more insightful than positive ones. Could you imagine half an hour of discussing how awesome Pendles is - how boring would that be?

If by boring, you mean the most awesome thing ever, then yes, that would be boring.

Don't know if it's just me, but I get the feeling that Bucks is not the biggest fan of Sheahan. ;) Last night wasn't the first time I've seen Bucks respond to one of his idiotic questions with what can be summarised with "Shut the **** up you stupid prick" (even shot one of those at Healy for good measure).

I remember back in the 90s when Sheanan was on Talking Footy with Brucey on 7 and Bucks was Pies captain, he got a typically stupid, negative question from the old fart and played it straight back at him. Gotta love Bucks, doesn't take shit from shit-kickers.

Oh and you were right Ed, they did cut him short. OTC managed to somehow managed to push Bucks to second billing behind the chief of the worst football team in the comp, cause you know everyone wants to hear him speak (don't even know the dude's name  ).

Sounds like Buckley,s usual form when interviewed he runs rings around whoever interviews him, brilliant football mind when he used to do special comments on tv nobody could touch him.

Matty agree 100% about that presser after Carlton smashed us and Ed vMM was raging and I posted at the time it could be the catalyst to turn our season around and it has:thumbsu:.

Somebody made a great point about when Buckley is being interviewed and that was that when Buck,s is being asked questions he never leaves lose ends to unravel and get asked further questions about things he does not want to talk about,it was a great observation and so true.
