Buddy Franklin gets....

Can a moderator please move this thread to the main board? Why the heck is this in the Backyard, pretty safe to say this IS related to the Crows...

We have to beat Carlton! We'll smash Essendon and Hawthorn without Franklin and Roughead? Yes please! :D

Edit: Thanks to whichever mod that moved it. And can I just say that while it helps the Crows cause this decision is an absolute disgrace. The bump is dead, our game not far behind. :(

Done. Not sure that it actually does apply to Adelaide though. The odds on Hawthorn getting up this week against the bombers - missing both Buddy & Roughead - would have to be getting rather long indeed.

Nice to know we won't have to worry about him in the finals though (unless we somehow manage to meet them in the GF).

this if off topic, but bradshaw and merret have both been ruled out for brisbane this week against sydney

Man, it just seems like players are falling aside for our path into the finals here :o

While I'm at it, Hardwick won't be coaching Port either having taken the Richmond job. Not really worth starting a thread about but, damn. Port just can't take a trick.

HA ha ha ha ha. It's win win for me.

Cousins gets what I wanted to give him for two drug win prelims against us.:thumbsu:

And if Hawks get up this week and we might play them...well...we all know the rest.

Thanks Buddy, thanks cuz.

:D:D:D

Also, the entire Western Bulldogs team is booked in to have vaccinations for yellow fever on Thursday week. By the time the side effects set in a week later, they are all likely to be ruled out for their semi final against us.

No this is so totally on topic. I've seen better laid plans all turn to crap, but this, Buddy, and carlton pisspots can only be good for the AFC.

Can the footy gods for once in their miserable existence, be treating us kindly?

I know its sorta good for us, but **** me the bump is dead, real shame because its been a trademark of our game for sooooo long. The inconsistencies dumbfound me with the tribunal, it's like their memory is cleared every week or something!

Although this is good news for the Crows, I'm starting to get deja vu again. Adelaide board navigating their way though the finals to the GF before they've even started.

Last time it was: all we have to do it beat Hawthorn, then smash North, smash Port then we'll be in the GF. That didn't turn out too well...

Someone had to say it before it all gets too much in this thread.

Fingers crossed. COME ON BOYS!

Has Buddy officially got 2 weeks? Is there any way they can appeal it again?

PS. Love this thread on the Hawthorn board

How cringeworthy - some are saying play him to take a stand :o For **** sake, they're shit this year, even if they get in they're not going to get past the first week of finals anyway. They've gotten to where they are now WITH Buddy & Roughead all year ffs

That one's self inflicted. They had their chance to ditch Choco and hire Hardwick, but decided to stick with the coach who's rapidly steering the entire club into oblivion.:D

Why are people so up in arms about the decision?

"Oh, it's just part of the game," everyone's saying. Yeah, but is it a good part of the game?

To me, toughness and courage is when two players are going for the ball without thinking about the consequences. That's what I love about football and shows how tough our game is. Not when one player has the ball and gets hammered.

For some people the fact that players can be legally knocked out - within the rules - seems to be badge of honour that the game wears. I don't buy it. I think the onus should be on the player laying the hip 'n shoulder to not impact the head.

If Cousins didn't fumble the ball he would have seen the bump coming and could have side stepped. Every one that plays footy at a young age knows that by fumbling your putting yourself in danger of being tackled/crunched. Cleaner hands means he doesn't get crunched. As it stands I am happy with the outcome :) Loved seeing Cousins come back this year though top effort!
