Tyrod benched!

Wasn't great on the weekend but I thought he was great against the jets. It wasn't his fault the o-line couldn't block.

Peterman did look good but it was in junk time against a team that had taken the foot off the pedal.

Coach Sean McDermott announced rookie Nathan Peterman will start Week 11 against the Chargers.

"We were made to be more than 5-4, and I've come here to be more than 5-4," McDermott said. "Really, it's about becoming a better team. Every position is evaluated and that's the direction I decided to go." Taylor and the entire offense is coming off a horrendous Week 10 against the Saints, but that was his first bad game at home. Peterman came in late for mop-up work, playing his first 11 snaps of the season. He went 7-of-10 for 79 yards and a score and was handpicked by McDermott and the new regime as a fifth-rounder. He had a nondescript preseason. His first NFL start will be on the road in L.A. against the Bolts. The offense will continue to run through LeSean McCoy.

-----------------

Tyrod Taylor has been benched as the Bills' starting quarterback in favor of fifth-round rookie Nathan Peterman.

This comes four days after Taylor went 9-of-18 for just 56 yards in an embarrassing Week 10 home loss to the Saints. Peterman came in for mop-up work late, going 7-of-10 for 79 yards and a touchdown, and coach Sean McDermott is now rolling with his handpicked guy. Taylor is a holdover from ex-coach Rex Ryan and may have played his final snap for the Bills. Due a $10 million salary and $6 million roster bonus next year, Taylor is an offseason cut candidate.

PETERMANNNNN
I just knew you would be excited with playing the kids, well one kid, couple of other kids were already playing

Happy as a pig in s**t.

Just worried that Peterman can't last a full game.

Expecting about 3 INT and lots of 3 and out

Pretty much spot on :(

Ummm........that went well

Now where are we? Not enough time to truly judge Peterman, but how do we have the confidence (and does he have the confidence) to go back to him?

Not if he wants to keep his job.

Read online (so it must be true) that Dennison wanted Taylor benched. Basically it's "he goes or I go".

Bye bye Rick. You aren't as valuable as you think.

I feel for Nate. He's a prospect, but was let down by Benji's injury and the whole staff.

He won't recover from that.

Tyrod to return, and we can go 6-10.

the curse continues by the looks of it

welcome to the implosion after 5 wins and the local media and fans starting to hope

that was beyond ugly, reality we should have been looking for a really early pick to get a franchise QB prospect, especially once we started off loading all those players

feels like they have changed tack on their plan and its all coming unstuck

now we will start to see what McDermott and Beane are made of

Besides which the offence wasn’t winning us those games apart from TB game and to a lesser extent Denver.

We had a top notch D which was holding down good and bad offences and creating TO.
Now we can’t stop any offence, run or pass. Minimal TO opportunities let alone actual TO and just leaking points.

Rebuilding teams need to hang their hat on something and at least we could have said D and a solid O with room to improve in the future with a big draft ahead.

Now we get a QB with one of our first picks but still have many other holes to patch.
We need 7 weeks of effort from the D to show that we have some positives moving forward.

Speaking Monday, Bills coach Sean McDermott said he was "still evaluating" his Week 12 quarterback decision.

It's unclear what there is to evaluate. Tyrod Taylor should have never been benched in the first place and rookie Nathan Peterman was unspeakably bad in his place. McDermott also said he doesn't regret the decision to start Peterman, which leads us to wonder if he knows the definition of regret. If Taylor plays, he'll be firmly on the streaming radar against the Chiefs. If it's Pick Tossin' Nate, fire up the Chiefs.

As we have seen it can be both. Bills need to show Tyrod some respect and trade him to a better team at the end of the year. Like the jags. Jags wouldn't have to throw the ball again, all run plays all day with Fournette and Taylor.

Come on we are murdered by injury.

Offense is changing weekly.

Apart from Glenn we haven't really, we've been victim of lack of depth.
WR: Until Benjamin came along no depth at all
TE: Clay + essentially no-one
RB: McCoy + essentially no-one
Tyrod's been fine.

Eagles have been without J.Peters and gone from 6-1 to 9-1.
