Curious as to how other people see the players and what their perceived weaknesses are. If we were to send the players to a hypothetical clinic this week to work on their weaknesses, what would they be?

Just going off my own personal grumblings this season -

Barlow, Keps, Mzungu - goal kicking
Mzungu, Duffield - tackling
Sandi - tapwork

what else?

Duffield 1 on 1 bodywork.
Suban - tackling (gives away free kicks all the time), contested ball work, finding the ball, fitness
Ibbotson - engaging the brain, 1%, knowing when to run and what option to pick coming out of defence.
Mzungu - kicking, sometimes hit and miss
Mundy - fitness
Barlow - kicking
Pavlich - nada
McPharlin - nada
Mayne - nada
Ballantyne - ball handling
Johnson - strength and fitness
Clarke - strength
Walters - strength and fitness
Griffin - Nil significant deficits, work on everything
Sandilands - expand tapping range
Hill - strength
McPhee - skills, though majority have been excellent this year
Fyfe - staying injury free
Morabito - new knee
Dawson - skills
Broughton - pace, fitness
DeBoer - skills, ball finding ability
Spurr - Needs to show more next year to get an elevation
Lower - pace, fitness
Pearce - just another preseason to improve everything, no obvious deficit, 2 year contract likely
Roberton - just another preseason to improve everything, no obvious deficit
Crowley - handball skills, also kicking
Van Berlo - Just overall off the pace
Silvagni - Another preseason to gain some confidence
Anthony - You're a backman, got a preseason to get back to AFL level
Grover - retirement is beckoning
Faulks - Starting to show form in the WAFL, it's taken your whole contract to show something at WAFL, may not be enough to save, keep up the top form and hope you get a chance.
Pitt - the gods gave you a contract for 2013
Neale, Sutcliffe, Crozier, Sheridan, Forster, - just young blokes, wait and see. (reminder - Fyfe's improvement from year 1 to 2)

Clarke needs upper body strength he gets pushed off the ball a lot will be good tho, Pearce, Barlow and Ibbo need to work on their kicking Barlow has an excuse tho he will grow the more game time he has, ballentyne needs to work on his marking.

Was interesting watching the Carlton v Bulldogs game, Minson was dominating like Sandi does with the hitouts yet Carlton were sharking them the same way (gave up on their own ruckman and just watched Minson). I think Sandilands needs to concentrate on doing more around the park and should just go 60% at the tap and let the midfielders get on top of their opponents, dominating the taps is not the advantage it appears to be on paper.

Cripes RG. I suggest you book a holiday.

Need mini games like in Madden so Kep can put some extra points into clutch kicking and Duffman can put some extra points into heart.

Michie and Morabito need to work on avoiding black cats whilst walking under ladders
A few guys (Ballas, McPhee, Ibbo, Mzungu) need to work on decision making

Hill needs to release his inner arrogance (it's somewhere deep, deep down, I know it!). I could actually sort of see it coming through during the GWS game when he kicked those goals, especially the last one. It was like "FFS, you guys all suck - THIS is how you're supposed to do it!" Or I could be reading way into it :p The kid's got so much skill and could easily be kicking way more goals.

Also, another thing that bothers me is Ballantyne tends to try and do too much. Missed an intercepted mark and ended up fumbling it. If he had stood his ground he would've taken it and had a shot on goal. Sometimes I think he tries to do too much and often fumbles or trips over his feet or something.

Thats the disadvantage of Ballas. He is fired up and does so much hard work, just need that little bit of toning his attitude down and a clearer mindset to execute the simpler skills rather than trying to beat 2 or 3 players at once that he often does.

Spot on observation. These two recommended changes would make two very good players 'elite players'

Seems to me we have 7-8 good players, but not much else with regard to depth. Maybe only three "champions"... Pavlich, McPharlin and Fyfe. And Fyfe needs to keep delivering.
I've been impressed with the cameo performances of some of the new kids.... and hope that next year we have a breakout season with them.
Frankly, I'll be a freo supporter until the day I die, but I'm really tired of some players being built up to being what they're not. Consitent, top 8 teams have more than what we have.

I've always wished Pav could have one good Grand Final before he goes. That's my dream as a Freo supporter.
