Why was the crowd so pathetic last night? Everything on the line, possibly Fyfe's home game, and during Lion dominance all you hear is a hushed hum with the sound of the Lion cheersquad clapping and chanting. Embarrassing. Ever since the move from Subi there's been a huge lack of soul. It's really sad. Freo fans used to be renowned for their enthusiasm and they were die-hard. Fits my theory that they're not a true Football club any more, they're the Fremantle Football Corporation. Hard to be passionate about a manufactured sports entertainment troop that has no success.

I was at the game. The crowd was very loud. Probably the loudest I have heard it. But not much to get excited about once we started missing those goals I think everyone knew we were going to lose after that.

Were you ATG? The audio mix on FF was complete shit last night, could barely hear the freo fans at all. Commentators made numerous references to the crowd noise but I couldn't hear them, I reckon the lions fans were mixed louder.

He's not doing to spectacular things like intercept marking or biting off kicks into the corridor so I'd say his confidence is down but he was solid defensively.

I think its time to to move him to the midfield next year. He's becoming to dour and playing scared. Let him off the leash.

- Banfield had 6 Clangers last night, the highest from both teams. When Banfield is having a bad day, his clangers are team killers.

He's had 6 clangers two weeks in a row, while we've had alternatives fit and available, who are specialist defenders.



40% of his disposals both weeks registered as legitimate clangers, and that's not including his fumbly second and third efforts to handle the ball (the worst 'one touch' player on the list) and disposals that don't go to teammate advantage, or worse put them under the pump because they're just so poorly executed skill wise.

He has the decision making speed of a sloth. It's agonising to watch how slow he thinks out there.

But it's not his fault he keeps getting picked... he's just trying to earn a living. Seems a decent fella. Should go into social work or something.

Chappy is 23 now in his 5th season. His early games were really encouraging and I thought he'd be pushing for All Australian. Might still happen in the future but his development has stagnated at this stage.

JLo has his strengths which make us a decent team but he either doesn't know how to rebound or he doesn't value it. If you look at our gameplan, our players are instructed to kick to the pack on the wing 90% of the time where we bring it to ground and create a contest. Chapman has the skill and nous to be a playmaker off half back which he demonstrated in his first few seasons but now that has disappeared completely. I would wager the two are linked. Literally every successful team is creative off half-back, I am not sure why we want to defy the status quo. Last time I brought this up people were saying we are winning, why do we need to change our style? I think the answer is obvious now.

IMHO I believe Noddy is not a winger but does his best work inside. He has decent height and burst out of stoppage and was putting up good numbers at the beginning of the year before he got injured.
