Katie Brennan has announced that she wants to be drafted to Western Bulldogs as a marquee player:
Western Bulldogs to nominate 5 players for the marquee player listing on Thursday 30th/June which two of those players will sign with the club at an expected 25k for the season.

Bulldogs listed players Darcy Vescio and Meg Hutchin appears to be on the move with Darcy accepting a job at the Carlton Football Club and Meg Hutchin accepting a Football Operations Manager Role with Collingwood Football Club.

It’s expected Brennan and former Matildas goal-keeper Brianna Davey will occupy the two positions at the Bulldogs. Davey is an explosive defender and, with Brennan, would help set up the Bulldogs’ spine.

With a background in exercise and sports science, Brennan wants to help upskill the next crop of female stars at the club.

“I’m at the stage where I know where I want to play,” she told foxfooty.com.au.

“I’m coming to an agreement with the Doggies and making it suit for both of us. I’ve declined any other conversations with clubs because I know where I want to be in 2017. It’s a club that my heart is definitely with.

Madeline KERYK 170cm Victoria / Melbourne Uni

Starting out at Auskick with her brothers, Keryk has developed into a super reliable footballer. A strong overhead mark, who is forever working hard to provide protection for her team's ball carrier. A star at U18 level, she has transitioned into senior footy with ease. With a big tank, her running between the 50m arcs is second to none.

Norieul KINROSS 11-APR-86 181cm Victoria / Darebin Falcons

The player responsible for introducing Daisy Pearce to women’s footy, Kinross is a veteran ruckman who has had to play second fiddle to Aasta O'Connor at Darebin. While O'Connor was sidelined with an ACL injury, Kinross relished the chance to be No.1 ruck and is improving rapidly. Courage comes naturally to Kinross, regularly dropping back and sitting in the hole, making life hard for opposition key forwards.

Lambert may be be small in stature but plays with enormous amounts of heart. This tough-as-nails, uncompromising inside midfielder dominates stoppages at local level. Phoebe MCWILLIAMS 31-AUG-85 178cm Victoria / St Kilda Sharks

Somewhat of a journeywoman in footy terms, having represented both Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs, McWilliams is a tough competitor. With an excellent overhead mark and reliable kick over long distances, you will find her coming out of centre half-forward like a steam train and impacting every contest she gets to.

Plays like: Nick Riewoldt

Karen PAXMAN 25-NOV-87 Victoria / Darebin Falcons

Paxman is without doubt the best gut-runner in the women’s competition. A wily veteran who returns to football after taking a year off to travel, she is rarely beaten in the air or on the ground. Paxman will always take the game on and is a very valuable asset to any half-back line.

Pepa RANDALL 172cm Victoria / St Kilda Sharks

With an athletics background, Randall likes to play a running game, using her pace and agility to her advantage. Though new to the game and somewhat of a work in progress, Randall is determined to learn more and is driven to succeed.

Nicola STEVENS 24-MAR-93 173cm Victoria / Melbourne Uni

A natural leader, Stevens is a highly rated mid-size defender. Her ability to intercept mark and make smart decisions makes her invaluable to her team. Crippled by serious injury in the early stages of her senior career, Stevens returns bigger and better, ready to take her game to the next level.

Hayley WILDES 22-JUN-90 166cm Victoria / Cranbourne

Wildes is an up-and-coming young midfielder who has found her feet in open-age football very quickly. Clean and tough and a great reader of the game, she will only improve with my exposure at senior level.
