Since Port are saying Burgoyne is available to all clubs

and Sydney keep playing the we want more for Jolly and Ball stays at the Saints should we make a run for him.
We have 3 OK rucks with Frasier, Wood and O'Keefe and hopefully the latter two stand up next year having Burgoyne in our midfield would assist us in keeping Davis and Didak in the forward line more next year.
Also O'Bree and others are getting older and losing pace and he would cover them

Definately have a crack at Burgoyne, class player.

Exactly what we need in our midfield I reckon, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if we didn't go after him though, because he is going to have a massive price tag one would imagine.

HUGE asking price for Burgoyne. Pick 9 plus McGlynn isn't good enough so we'd have to give up a Didak essentially.

More interested in the Salotape.

With Port asking for everything but the kitchen sink down at Hawthorn, wouldnt have thought the Pies would bother pursuing him. Would lose too much to get him at the Pies, and efforts are better wasted elsewhere.

This might indicate that the Hawks are changing priorities and pursuing Jolly. Pick 9 trumps pick 14 so if we want Jolly we need to figure out what we want to pack in that will appeal to the Swans.

Might also be a negotiating tactic to get the Hawks to shift towards ports demands. If we lose on Jolly then yeah lets go after him, but I'd say focus on Jolly first and win that one.

We are putting all our efforts into Jolly, and rightly so, while you can't say Burgoyne wouldn't help us, but the type of player he is just happens to be nowhere near the top of our list for needs.

Too expensive for an injury prone, outside mid.

Just looking at this picture, I don't think he's tall enough to hold down a ruck spot... I appreciate that he's doing some strength work, however.
