Yeah, my point is that many phantom drafts will be thrown if Sydney go for Lucas. Who do WCE go for then? Do Port automatically take Butcher?

Lets assume this.

Melbourne take Scully and Trengove
Richmond take Martin
Fremantle take Morabito
North then take Cunnington

That leaves Lucas as the main player for Sydney to pickup. His dad did play a couple of games for Sydney so there is some connection.

I would say that leaves us with Jetta and Sheppard as our main targets, unless say Rohan is on our radar as well.

Target number one for the Swans was no doubt Martin.

There is no way we will use our first pick on Butcher based on what Roos has said and what the recruiting department have indicated by chasing Martin so hard.

As noted elsewhere in this thread there will be a number of versatile KP players in play still with our pick at 14 that will fufil our needs for a young tall (preferrably a backman).

If Rohan does go before pick 6 (unlikely) it would have to be either Cunnnington or Lucas for our pick 6.

I think top 4 is a given, not so sure about North.

Melb - Scully/Trengrove
Richmond - Martin
Freo - Morabito

IF North - Cunnington
Sydney - Rohan or Lucas
WCE - Lucas or Rohan
Port - Butcher + mid (Tapscott or Melksham?)

IF North - Butcher
Sydney - Cunnington
WCE - Lucas
Port - Might pass on Rohan, I think they've got enough mecurial types - Talia or Tapscott or Melksham
Essendon - Rohan, a good replacement for Lovett.

Especially since we don't really have a 2nd rounder. In fact, 14 really is our second rounder, with next pick at 38.

Sydney at pick 6 will almost definitely IMHO take Rohan, and at pick 14 we will take Talia if available. If he is not we will take another tall.
