Our Ball use is shit inside 50. We bomb the ball in to their defenders. Despite that Dixon has actually played some good games and makes an impact even when he doesnt. Butcher arrived about a full second late to most contests. This is over, hes not an afl footballers a**hole.

Just genuinely uncoordinated. Thank God this thread will die at the end of the year
 
He was drafted in 2009. He just seems stagnate. If is is traded, it might be the change needed.
 
Posters bagging Butch and Schulz need to take into account that Lockett and Ablett snr would have struggled to have any sort of impact in that game tonight, Port's set ups with the talls out on the Torrens searching for Popeye, and the haphazard forward entries, gave them zero chance.

That aside, no doubt Butch will be the sacrificial lamb next week for that aerial superstar Jake Neade, and we can complain about someone else. :rolleyes:

Look, I inderstand it wasn't a night for marking key forwards, but where was this crashing of packs John Butcher is apparently so famous for? Genuinely timid footballer.

The ones he did crash he was so late and nearly killed his teammates. Can't read the flight of the ball, is an average mark, can't kick. What can he actually do
 
it was always going to be a tough day in the office for the KPFs today. I was hoping Butcher could lead up the ground and get to second effort contests.

Fingers crossed he plays out the rest of the year

As I posted earlier, before the game, he was always going to be on a hiding to nothing given the conditions.

Apart from being on the end of a lucky kick Schulz was also going to be on a hiding to nothing. By lucky I mean our forward movement after half time was on par with some Aus kick games I've seen, and at times even worse.

This year has been a big disappointment if not a joke and IMO the players should be the last to cop the blame for it.

Oh and to all the jb haters they can **** right off; I never thought in my near 30 years of supporting port Adelaide that I'd ever see supporters taking pleasure in a guy struggling to stay on our list, especially one starved of opportunities like butcher

So it's all coaching as to why hartlett gets 15 possessions in the first 15 minutes and then 5 for the rest of the game?? The coaching staff can't do shit during gameday to increase work ethic mate.

If Butch can find form that makes him a trade possibility we would hold on to him. All in favour of him playing out the season and living in hope he shows enough.

Coaching, strategy and leadership has a hack lot to do with how teams and players play.
That is why someone can be an inconsistent b in one team and an absolute legend somewhere else.

This year we have scored fail marks in all 3 requirements, apart from our backline and defenders.

EDIT: Except for our kick ins that is.
 
So remember like two and a half years ago when El_Scorcho was posting incessantly about how we shouldn't have dropped Butcher for the easy confidence boosting game against Brisbane and everyone was all 'lol butcher is shit'?
