So where do people buy there supplements from?

Recently i have been buying mine from Great Earth Discount Vitamins due to a mate knowing the owner (not closely at all, but good enough for a further 15% off discounted items) but recently i have been surveying American sites and found a few that offer way cheaper prices even after the huge postage costs.

Has anyone imported serious amounts of supplements from overseas. I've read somewhere that you have to limit your order to under AUD$1000 due to massive taxes and duties if you go over this amount. Is it true?

And what other scams do people have going on out there? Are you able to buy a business name and ABN and then just import anything you want at Wholesale prices from the manufacturer. I'm interested because there is this shifty bloke at the gym who is getting his hands on serious amounts of Supplements and i wonder how cheap he is able to get them for.

Mostly online - if you don't mind waiting, it can be a fair bit cheaper (especially protein powder). I get it delivered to my work address so don't have to worry about post office pick-ups.

And to show off to the ladies how strong you are. :D

Just kidding.

I've bought the same brand since I first began lifting; I've tried a few others through mates and samples online, but I prefer the stuff I use.

It's an Australian brand, so buying online doesn't really make much of a difference. However I've bought some NO Xplode online, and saved around $40-50 on the prices I saw around Geelong.

I buy a lot of DVDs/literature online; today I received my copy of CEO Muscle: Jay Cutler's no nonsense guide to successful bodybuilding.

Unfortunately there aren't many stores that cater to the meat heads in Geelong or Melbourne.

What are the best websites for buying supplements... I use Balance Whey Protein and Gaspari Nutrition's Superpump 250

also looking into buying some PB Sports version of powerade.. accelerate I think it is called as it is a lot better than Gatorade or Powerade.

I buy my supplements from http://www.a1supplements.com.au/ and from what I have found searching many many online sites and instore nutrition places you would not find a place cheaper.

Anyone know of anything cheaper than them?

A1 i believe is the best place to go if you don't know anyone in the industry. Just a little tip if you are getting your supps from them though - check out their ebay store IIRC its called hercules fitness (dont quote me though) they tend to sell all their stuff at least 5% off and also offer free postage on many orders!

Here you go i made it easy for you

A1 has pretty dodgy service though.

I ordered from them at the start of the month and I've been charged and apparently it's been delivered but I can't find the tracking number on Aust Post. I've also emailed their order processing address and still haven't got a reply.

Few of my friends say the same thing; so I reckon I need to find another supplier.

Admittedly I haven't used A1, but I've generally found the service from internet sites to be exceptional (maybe I've just been lucky). I made an address mistake on the order for some leucine (home instead of work) on the Professional Whey website today, I e-mailed and received a response in just over half an hour telling me it had been amended.

I've used 4 sites and never waited more than 3 working days for an order (granted my delivery address is Melb CBD).

I dont understand what you mean by 'A1 i believe is the best place to go if you don't know anyone in the industry'.???

The service I've had in dealing with them has been great, and if you live in the Coburg/Preston area their store has quite a large stock base on Bell St of everything I want/need.

I have checked their ebay store (thats how I came across them in the first place) and its definitely not cheaper, so I kinda dont understand any of the points you made in your post? Could you possibly expand on what you mean?

Cheers,

If you have mate who works at or owns a supplement store you will obviously get much cheaper supplements - hence know someone in the industry.

And compared to their advertised internet rates i found their ebay listings were cheaper.

I've never bought from them using ebay and i definitely won't now after reading their feedback. Looks like very terrible customer service. Good pick up Westi!

They've got a feedback rating of 98.5%...

Yeah, but read the feeback. Postage is terrible and often sending the wrong flavours or even supplements!

I understand the problem with having so many orders, however if they can't cope with it they shouldn't be taking so many orders in the first place.

cell biology in keysborough, victoria.
fantastic prices on creatine and tribulus, amongst other supplements
