It is fun to goad TP about nadal's failings at the top level but let's not forget he is still a very good - not great only very good - player.
Away from the clay Djokovic is now clearly the biggest threat to Federer given Nadal's consistent inability to reach finals in non clay tournaments ( Nole's injury gifted Nadal a Wimbledon final spot otherwise it would not have happened). Had he been fit enough to continue to what would have been victory in the Wimbledon semi he would have been a menace to Roger and remains a potential menace to anyone at Flushing Meadows.Nadal's defeat comes as no surprise to anyone.
