Um, I think my last post wasn't referred to you GOI, but be that is it may, you are welcome to desist from any association with Premier C Grade.

Q. What goes black, white, black, white, black, white?
A. A panda rolling down a hill.

Go away Rissoles, do you like bullying people? I notice you are doing it here too, this is a forum wherever any person can post.
This is a forum where people can voice there opinions in any way they like, not the way you like.
I'll watch with interest your posts from now on.

Good to see some healthy debate/insults on the thread.

8 games in.

Who win's
Premiership
Top 4
B&F
Goal Kicking

My unbiased thoughts
Premiership - OI
Top 4 - As is at Round 8
B&F - Jarrod Carlson or Michael DelMonte
Goal Kicking - Adrian DelMonte

I'll agree with my mates Max and the Burger, except the Ashes will get up at home to help the great man Coaster celebrate his 200th game. An absolute champ in every regard.

Big game for the Bangers - season defining?

Looks like there is only the one game in dispute amongst our esteemed group.

Old Ivanhoe vs Banyule
Monash Blues vs Mazenod
Old Camberwell vs NOBS/St Pats
PEGS vs Oakleigh
Peninsula vs Marcellin

It must have been a cracker of a game at Monash Uni with a low scoring game and the lead changing numerous times. Commiserations, Les, but I suspect a close loss is far more preferable than going into finals undefeated. Well done to the Nodders. I had a feeling they were ready to produce but it was still very close.

Going into the finals undefeated as of round 8? That's one of the more uninformed things I've seen posted on this board. Monash will want to win every game to QUALIFY for finals first, they named to win another 4 games to do this.

In hope they aren't thinking like you Grissoles, that's loser mentality.

Never understood that one, Rissoles. Played in an undefeated flag and saw no reason why a loss would've been preferable. Nobody likes losing. If you are lucky enough to have the perfect season, then why not??

Thank you so much for your comments, predator.

Have done the same, Uncle, but obviously not in a close competition. I don't see Premier C as a competition dominated by one or even two teams. Young teams will always benefit from a stark reminder preferably before finals. Just an observation and I'm not for one minute suggesting that Monash was destined for a perfect season.

Thanks Riss but when you're in a position to win you just need to get the job done, especially on our track. After being the whipping boys in C for a while you want to beat every opponent! Nasty blowout for your lads I see.

Thought there might be a few upsets this week but not to be.

Having seen the top 2 and bottom 2 in the past month, I'd be astounded if any of those 4 clubs move out of their current slots.

Second half of the season will most likely be 6 clubs competing for a first semi final spot.

Amazing game at the Pine today.

Down by 35 points at 3 quarter time. OI kicked 9 goals to 2 in the last to get up and win by 9 points.

Credit to Banyule, if it wasn't for being down 1 on the bench in the last, the result would probably be different.

Good to see "Old Timer" running amok in the Magoos.

Halfway through and here's a useless and boring stat (also posted in the Premier A thread)
Number of players used in senior side to rd 9.

Maz 33
Mon 32
Mar 30
OI 31
Pegs 36
Pen 39
OC 44
Ban 36
Oak 41
NOBs 35

3 Points of mild interest.

1. Top 4 are (not surprisingly) the most settled, presumably a combination of winning form and less forced changes through injury.
2. NOBs and Banyule haven't played anywhere near as many different players as Oakleigh and OC.
3. The numbers in the bottom half are very high for only 9 games played.

Oh for a settled lineup

Make of it what you will, but it says to me the top 4 have every reason to be confident of holding their spots, provided they don't cop a run of injuries as I can attest has been the case elsewhere!

I wouldn't have thought 1 kick was "tearing it apart', however, when you have a 41 yr old playing 2's it shows how many injuries we have. Our boys were outstanding on Sat, as scribe can attest to injuries have crueled us all year. We have a new fantastic coach with a great game plan, however, hard to keep it all for 4 quarters when you don't have the cattle.
