Its on like donkey kong, the boys need to wipe them off the G come sunday and its long over due, we have had to wait 12 weeks for this rematch.

I would say just double team fev and its GG.

Rocca wont play and pendles is in doubt.

OUTS

Cook

IN

Dawes

Time to open the dawes.

whats gonna hurt us is the 6 day turn around

be a tough game, rocca in for us would be huge as their backline is a bit depleted atm

How stupid is this post?

Dawes is close to the worst performed player on our list and is friggin miles off getting a senior game. Wont happen. Forget it.

Cook was okay but he will make way for Pendles if he is right.

DON'T GET COCKY. whatever we do, it bit us in the @rse last time.....

If we should be bringing in anyone for Rocca I'd say Reid. He needs game time, the more the better.

i dont like cox in the team , not cos i dont rate him as a player but it doesnt give us a good balance

taking out a massive tall leading forward for a winger pretty much

id rather reid in for rocca , even if reid cant stick the marks he can still bring it down in front of him for our crumbers. the kid should be included and let him play from ff instead of out on the flanks, let trav roam around chf

Should be a ripper on Sunday. Would love to go 2-0 over you guys this year. Looking for a crowd of over 80,000.

I like how you change the way you post on our board compared to your own. You should teach the rest of the Carlton posters to do the same.

If we lose this game I will be SOOOOO ____ing pissed off.

Cox out Wood in (if dry), frees up options up forward and a tall to try and help mitigate Carltons on ballers winning too much footy around the stoppages. Can then rotate Bryan or Fraser down forward to lend some height and aggression, which was sadly lacking today. One of the reasons that the smaller forwards were less effective today was that they were leaping for contested marks instead of waiting for the footy to spill off packs. Expect to see Wood back this week, fresh and raring to go.

And he has played a few matches so now is the time to gain his experience. For those who think Clarke should be dropped don't know what they are really thinking. He is an excitement factor and proves himself in rivalries.
Watch out for Clarke this week.

As ive said for the last few years, I don't care how our season goes, so long as we win 4 games, 2 against carlton, 2 against essendon, that ruin my year!

It's gonna be HUGE, I love a big crowd, I love the big games, can't wait!!!

Gonna be a ripper guys i cant wait.

Full house at the G watching the two biggest rivals in australian sport.

Queens Birthday a Blockbuster..:D:D:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Real Blockbuster this week .:thumbsu:..............

I HATE playing Carlton. Hate it, hate it, hate it! We never seem to play well for them, and they always lift against us. Regardless of our form, it just worries me. It's as if our team realises we're playing Carlton, and suddenly the skills are poor and the desire disappears. It's the total opposite for them.

Mick, please, PLEASE don't leave someone one out with Fevola. We know their midfield will lift against us, and consequently, he will be fed the ball all day long. Put Brown or Harry on him, and park Maxwell in front of him. In the midfield, hard 1 on 1 contests all over the ground, just like we did against Geelong. Tackle like it's for the flag, protect the corridor, and force the turnovers. Rhyce to run with Judd again, but this time for all 4 quarters, no slacking off in the last Rhyce! Other than that, we really need to lift in the ruck, get Bryan to really rough up the younger Kreuzer.

But most of all: Maxwell, don't hit anybody high. It made them lift last time. Go for the ball, and hurt them on the scoreboard. We are capable of shitting this in, we just have to get it right out there! We know what we're capable of, let's ____ing romp it in!

We've got Jamison returning this week, which is a huge plus for us, as he was able to negate Medhurst last time around. He will no doubt be put straight back on to Medhurst for the game this coming weekend.

Our backline will be something like:

Thornton O'Hailpin Jamison

Grigg Waite Armfield

Looking forward to the game this weekend. If we can win, we'll be right in with a chance for the 8 this year. Go you Blues! :thumbsu:

Playing better football than last time and apart from running over a team that makes freo chokes seem reasonable, carlton havent shown alot the past couple of weeks.

I will be there and am looking forward to us right soem wrongs, out there and winning five straight.

Expect the woods to be breathing fire next week, heard they are still smarting after round four.

Bring it on.... Hate those turds but in a wierd way happy that they are coming good so our rivalry means something again. If the boys can't get up for this one then forget the flag they have no ticker.

Hoping Reid plays, or that Bryan is used up forward and Wood comes back in.
Playing just one tall forward doesn't seem to work for us, we need a tall target to kick to who can create a contest. (Reid is more of a lead up type so i dunno if he could play that sort of role).

Too early for Dawes who is struggling, but can't really fault him too much our VFL side is shit.

Pendles to return for cook

cox out for woody play, wood in the ruck with josh and rotate bryan and fraser up foward, we all know how dangerous fraser can be up foward and bryan has proved he can take a contested mark :thumbsu:

at least now we know that cook can play football, did some good things todaii his time is not now, but it will come :)

not sure that reid and cox are ready yet, nor is dawes from the sounds of things..

That's how I feel about it as well. The fact that Carlton are doing well at the same time as Collingwood actually gives meaning to these clashes, whereas over the past 10 or so years there have been very few times when both teams are playing well at the same time. I hope we belt them on Sunday, as it would give me great satisfaction given that we lost to them earlier in the year.

I agree, first time since Tony Shaws first few years at Collingwood that this match actually looks like being a proper Blockbuster between 2 good sides.

Having said, that it is more reason to kick the living s___t out of those non respectful bunch of w***ers, there is still nothing like beating Carlton.

And this will hurt them, you should have heard em talking on Sunday night, think they gonna make the finals, pfft, you are playing a top 4 side this week, bring it on, lets kick their arse.

No one can stop the SHAG!!! And this time around JUDD is more fit than round 4, and will carve you guys up. I mean he was half fit rd4 and still managed 11 possessions in the last quarter. BRING IT ON. 6more sleeps to go....

Damn, I rate Jamison. :(
