I saw him a few times last year in the TAC cup and to me he looked very average. Struggled in the ruck against smaller opponents, couldn't get a touch in the forward line, and was often struggling to even play as the loose man in defence (ala Jason) and this is only under 18. I'm sure he will improve, but if not for his surname he may not be on a club list.

Yep, that's the same kid I saw.

Trust me, he's a different player altogether now. Intensive training with AFL standard coaches is converting his raw potential into talent.

He was reportedly a better player when he was 190cms or so and he is taking time to adjust to his late growth spurt.

Colin Wisbey is a poster from another site who attends at least three TAC games per week and he rated Cam as being worth a third round pick in last year's draft, due to it being a relatively weak draft, with most kids being selected on potential. If selecting a kid on potential a 195cm kid beats a 179cm kid every time!

To say he was selected on name alone is bull****. He is number one ruck every week for one of the best VFL sides going around and he's only 18. He has been in their best on several occassions.

I await reports on Travis Cloke, who is billed as the best of the bunch.

And here is the man himself

Hmm, looking a bit hippy there.

Cannon

Just shows how stupid you are Cannon, to assume that no one else except you ever made it to a reasonably high level. You will learn with age that nearly making it counts for nothing. Unless you are now on an AFL list you have a long way to go. One injury could ruin your prospects, one night on the **** where something goes wrong.

You have a loooong way to go yet sunshine.
