firstly this isnt a troll. would u accept Dew, Thurstans and pick 24 for Mooney?

I dont think geelong would considering the fact he was actually being discussed as captain material a few weeks back. Cats seem to lack some leadership and he is one that does fly the flag on the field and shows passion. Thurstans would be worth nothing as he has done nothing in the forward line for port since the 2004 GF and we already have enough tall forwards with nablett and hawkins to develop over next few years.

Dew, Thurstans and pick 24 for Kingsley, and you've got a deal! :p

I wouldn't get rid of him even if he was canned for 5 times this year. The guy wears his heart on his sleeve, and you bet he hates the position that the team is in now. Everytime he goes out there, he gets angry, just if he can curb that a little.

Wouldn't you want to keep that at your club ??

The only thing we can offer Dew is a donut. How big did he look yesterday? I saw guys playing the GDFL look fitter than him.

Moons only needs a behavioural psychologist and he'll be back on track. "Mentor" is probably the term that sounds more manly in this situation.
So thanks for the offer, but I reckon we can get him going and he's more valuable to us with that bit of investment. - so nuh!

The only way a behavioural psychologist is going curb Cam's anger is if he volunteers to be Cam's personal punching bag! :D

Care to elaborate?

I'm just interested to know what the guys are like off the field. :thumbsu:

My cousin has a rare infant cancer, he lost both eyes and is now blind, just the things he has done for the family is great, visiting the family every now and then and playing around with Caleb.... I think it was round 2 that he took Caleb through the banner, this was the first time Cam had ever ran through the banner, he never runs through because of the "bad luck" i think, not so sure why. A lot of people criticise him for his onfield behaviour, because of this a lot of people would think he is an agressive person off field......think again

Yeah, I've heard he is a good bloke too. My uncle is great mates with Ron Watt and he has said that Cam has a serious case on white line fever. Apparently gets along with everyone at the club like a house on fire.

Thats why the Josh Hunt comment really shocked me. Very much unlike Cam.

Caleb certainly does look like he loves being with the 'Big Hairy Cat'.The Addy have run some good photos of the 2 of them and I remember seeing Mooney carry him through the banner.

Id like to know what Cam thinks he or the team gains by swinging his arms around in such silly manor. Grab a video of that Hamill tackle or a Voss bump, putting a guy into the ground with strong tackle is OK , focusing totally on the ball even better. Its just so insipid, he hardly effects the opponent, gains no onfield advantage and cops weeks for it.
I'd love for him to have chat with some other guys from the past who had the same trouble. Barry Hall seems to have put himself into a superior state of control. Maybe we could do worse than to get a guy like Phil Carmen down here as an assistant coach. A fantastic forward talent no doubt yet a guy who lacked the ability to control the WLF , he has gone on to be a good country football coach yet is always asked about his onfield incidents. When I see him talk about his on field incidents he always looks like he wishes he could find redemption some way some how. Maybe that’s its, just how does Cam wish to be remembered , a nutcase Robbie Muir type or a player who matured into a top player like Hall.

What did he say about Joshy?

Renegade, I believe it's probably a reference to a quote Cam made when being interviewed by K-ROCK after the Sydney win. He labelled Joshy's shirk as "sh**house" and said the whole team was disappointed with the effort. There was a fair bit of criticism of Cam saying that given that he was just about to become the AFL's most-oft suspended player in a season.

Catsrule, I'm glad you love Cam heaps too. I know most of us do, but I just view him as untradeable. The comments about Cam's help for the young blind fellow just back up what I already feel in my heart - he's a good bloke with white-line fever. Once that's under control, he will be an unstoppable force. He believes in our club, and that's a lot more than some of the supporters at times.

Of every player on my list, the person I'd most like to have a beer with is Cam. I would never approach him (even if I knew where to find him) because I would never want to be seen as a groupie, but if I could ever find a situation in which I could talk to him completely aside from football - a situation in which he could just be a guy, not a footballer - then I'd be the happiest girl around.
