While we are all driven to distraction over the next week with the what ifs and bull shit of trade week spare a thought for Cam Rose our magnificent CEO.

Cam has to find a replacement for Lease Plan, Find a replacement for Falloon, Get Edgewater over the line,Manage the problematic relationship with the Marybnong Council bed wetters, Indirectly minimse the damage of Claytons last draft ... a huge job that, Address the cost over run ( minor in the scheme of things) with the Re Del, Get the AGM sorted - audits etc, has the membership guy been replaced if no thats another job, and devise a plan to lure the piss week drop offs in membership from last year back to the club. I am not talking about the economically challenged I am talking about the dumby Spitters.

One thing we know about this man is that he is up for the challenge.

Yes he gets a good quid , but you can not buy passion, vision, belief and commitment. I dont now how we lock this man in for the long term but what ever it takes I support 100%

Smogs, can you tell Cam he needs to also get a new lady to wash the guys kit each week, and we're short a boot studder...

Rocket

PS - I'll have a pay rise too thanks.

The most positive thing I have read from you.:thumbsu:
I agree 100% particularly about the membership.
If they don't get on for next year they never will.
We had a great year, little slump towards the end but if you spread those wins over the whole you would be happy.
Looks positive for next year can't wait.

This post would be even more pertinent if you posted it after the new sponsorship is announced and Edgewater is fully approved by the council.

Its a good post, but currently I draw a parallel to it being like us congratulating the team on getting a premiership they haven't got yet.

In this case we are patting Cam Rose on the back while there are still loose ends to be tied off.

By the way I think you will find it is James Fantasia dealing mostly with the recruitment of Scott Claytons and Cameron Falloon's replacement.
Likewise any coach, player and football department negotiations..including trade week deals.

Campbell the magnificent must also deal with another noose around his neck...the club's $5 mil debt.

I find it galling that Hawthorn can announce this figure as a one year profit and are seemingly an unstoppable monolith that see's no bounds in terms of raking in the financial dollars while a club such as ours is run on the smell of an oily rag and has to penny pinch just to declare a small profit. We are also seemingly strangled by a stadium deal that does us no favours.

Its premierships, on the back of a well run administration, that turns a club's fortunes around. Hawthorn's support base is a fall back to the 80's era and now they have a new team of heroes to underpin them for years to come. Let's hope we can win one soon.

Its all about the stadium deal n our world.

LAck of GF's does not give us that new base coming through on memberships but that aint Cam's fault

Lets see those other CEO's work with the resources he has had.

Selling 5 years worth of home games for $15 million helps Tassie.
