batted @ 4 for 4 tests upon warner's retirement and squeezed him back in - then out injured for a year (smith back @ 4)
batted @ 3 for 4 tests which included the WTC final
batted @ 6 for 1 test (first test of the summer)
batted @ 5 for 2 test (2nd & 3rd tests)
batting @ 7 in the boxing day test - behind carey.

so basically shifted about between 3-7 for 12 tests now.

hopefully he can deliver and become a regular 5 (or 6) as the selectors may well be starting to lose patience and with a bangladesh series next up, they may give someone else a go.

Long bow as i'm on the train to ditch Green but in a perfect world you'd want Green bowling in SA over Big beau. In saying that i want to see Green bowling way more if that's the case.

Selectors have done him no favours here.

Either back him in to bat in the top 6 or he doesn't get a spot in the team.

How was he mean't to get form and confidence back by batting behind the wicketkeeper who usually bats 7?

Last couple of years?? He had a breakout away series against NZ before his injury which wiped out the entire last Summer against India. Nearly made a 50 at the GABBA before his horrible shot and has been shit since then making even more stupid mistakes. Was a handy bowler with 140-145km at an awkward height before his serious injury, now bowl at 130-135km.

I guess we kinda complain about needing to blood some guys here and there, and this would be going against that, but his batting technique right now is absolutely diabolical.

Bring Webster in. Has done nothing wrong. Green can come back in when he finds some form at shield level.

Technically he is best of Australian batsmen but mentally fragile and I can't see that improving.

Bowling is not the issue, he has had huge chunks of time when he wasn't able to bowl and was picked for his batting
