what does everyone down at catland think of cam mooneys attitude and the way he goes about his footy and do you think he is over rated and can be a bit silly at times by going out of his way to hit someone and get frustrated because what he did today hes gone for 4 matches by the tribural if they get him by video

I reckon he's a gun. Love his toughness and passion, but he does get far too easily frustrated and loses his cool, which in turn is frustrating for every cats supporter watching. Needs lots and lots of anger management I think. :p Unfortunately though I don't think he's going to change and I think Bomber realises that too. The positive of this though is that opposition players fear him as well as his brutal hip and shoulders.

i agree he should go and do the classes that big bazza hall had to do anger management to calm himslef down and to stop getting himself frustrated and being silly and gettin rubbed out all the time cause he needs to have a good hard look at him self cause hes a total gal cause long hair on guys is just Y.U.C.K and doesnt look good

Speaking of having a good hard look at yourself. You need to learn a little thing called 'grammar'. Stay in school

i luv the bloke!... usually...
but today he just went too far..

hes having a frustrating season and hes showing his frustration on the field..we r lucky we won so easily today, coz if it was a close match, that sot of stupidity could have easily cost us the game.

They got about half their score today from Mooney being Mooney. With Harley hopefully returning next week and Lonergan having a pretty good first game, Mooneys midermeanours may see him abusing umpires in the VFL next week.

He gets out of hand sometimes, but usually he gets persecuted by the Great Incompetent Yellow Wiggle Pyssant Morons. If he controlled himself by not saying anything and avoiding body contact he'd get penalized just for being on the ground.

True. He wont be the only one. If Archer doesnt get sighted...
Both will have some spare time up their sleeves. Arch was frustrated and should get a couple for that.

Mooney's effort on Harris was just stupid. Someone should tell him that if he keeps that up, he will miss out on GF possie this year. You guys are a genuine chance...and lets face it, his 99 effort was a shocker.

His movement was downwards. Why would he go after Hamil getting off for hitting Scott when his movement was up?

As for Big Scary, today he was big and Scary. Just how i like him. He was a bit to much though and didnt back it up enough in general play.

Wasn't he only on the ground for 5 minutes?
He didn't get much game time in truth, but the only way that you would have known that he was on the ground was by the free kick that he gave away and was taken straight off by Pagan for a lack of discipline. My point is that he has a chance this year to have a game to be proud of in the big one, but not if he can't control his aggression. Geelong need him out on the paddock.

From a Geelong supporters point of view who was at the game on Sunday, I thought his efforts were disgraceful. His dummy spits not only hinder himself but more so the team. He will go to the tribunal for both his indescretions and will pay dearly for them both. My guess a minimum 2 weeks for each one. But with his record at the tribunal, 3 weeks would not be out of the question.
You cannot afford a loose cannon like him come finals time, if I was on the match committee (and most of you will probably be glad I am not!) I would make him sit out his suspension 4 - 6 weeks what ever it might be) then run him back through the ressies until he realises he cannot do this week after week and get away with it. One other thing I noticed during the game he doesn't seem like he is interested I noticed him standing 5-6 meters away from Thomson with his hands on his hips and staring at the ground. Also after the quater breaks when the boys huddle together as defenders/midfielders/attack, Cam was always on the outskirts and just not 'joining' in. Does he need to get his head right or what is the problem. Who is our Sports Psychologist - do we have one?
Our side prides itself on hardness and toughness at the ball (not the player) Cam just needs to realise it is a team game and all he is doing is making it difficult for team mates, when he gives away ridiculous free kicks/50 m penalties. All the Geelong supporters around me at the game agreed - Pull your head in Mooney

I think it was Phat who nailed it, its all related to his fitness/form.When in the groove he plays within himself, when unhappy go's into Scary Cat mode.

Id love to ask the guy , "Why do you play"

- if you play for fun or for a run maybe you better look at the other oval at KP , St Marys. I doubt this is so, a disintersted player might but I doubt thats his problem

- if you play totally focused on personal performace, then perhaps you best play Tennis or Boxing or some other individual sport

- if you play to be a part of winning side, to contribute to their winning then I say you dont understand that what it takes to win. How does getting on the wrong side of the umpire, make it easier to win. You are a big strong guy, just soak up bad calls from the ump, let Bomber worry about the fairness of it.Let King or Scarlo talk to the umps. Do not talk to them under any circumstances. Zip it and focus on what you do best. Not the hit, the skill, the strength. Big guys realize thing dont always go your way, just suck it up and get on with it, the good stuff will follow.

Having said that , im sure the knobs at the club have tryed this.

Very, very hard on Moons there!

Yes, there were times today were he was undisciplined, mainly the one on the wing when he charged at Jones and started wrestling with him. The "swing back" of the arm was a soft, soft, soft free kick. That happened right on front of me, and it was another terrible decision by McBurney. I wonder of Corey Jones realised that the Logies were awarded a few weeks ago...although the Oscars may be coming up! Moons barely touched him.

The 50m he gave away, well buggered if I know what that was for...can only be for abusing the umpire, again a terrible decision by McBurney.

I havent seen the incident on the wing with Jones on TV, so cant comment on that, but if he gets reported and suspended for the swing back clip to Jones then the Tribunal is a joke!

"The 50m he gave away, well buggered if I know what that was for...can only be for abusing the umpire, again a terrible decision by McBurney."

You could clearly lip read it on the telly. Problem is he dropped the F into the sentence.

"I was going for the f******** ball" - I dont think you should get called for swearing like that. It is not abuse as such. If he was like "I was going for the ball F******wit" that is worth a 50.

I want him to play more like Hamil or Archer. Put your body on the line, dont JUST hit people.

Moondog is being victimised by the umpires.

Sure he brings a lot upon himself with his overzealous nature, however it's blindingly obvious that he gets judged on who he is, rather than what has happened in a particular incident.

Victimised or not he doesnt have to do it, and thats the bottom line. Hes going to get a week or two on the sidelines as a result and will hopefully learn from it, although I'd seriously doubt he will.

Exactly, but regardless must learn to back off. However, why didn't the officiating umpire, with a clear view, report Cam in the incident with Jones if it was warranted. Pretty stiff if he's been offered time.

Go CATS!!
