Don't know if anyone heard this, but Moons became the first Geelong player to kick more than 60 goals in a season since Gaz's old man did it in 1996.

Moons is our pedastal in the forward line. Everything revolves around him. Awesome today, gave everyone something and everyone delivered.

Gotta love the Moondog. I was a bit worried in the first quarter but didn't he go to town in the 2nd and 3rd! Worked hard when he didn't have it as well.

Would hope that with a fit Hawkins next season (16 games, 25 goals) and a much improved attitude to Nathan (22 games, 35-40 goals), Mooney can show that this year was not a one off (22 games, 63 goals)

I loved the way he gave it to the Kangas cheer squad throughout the day - especially when he kicked that ball that bounced into them. I'm sure it was meant to go in on the full and take a couple of em out!

Gotta love the guy and everything about him. He's exactly what a CHF should be, and he might well be the next captain (although admittedly he has a heap of competition in that department).

For the majority of the season has handled some of the leagues best defenders and come out on top; a great player who lifts and motivates the team. We are obviously a better team with him in it, rather then out on the sidelines suspended

Another interesting note: Johnson has 42 goals. If he hadn't missed those earlier six games, he could be pushing mid 50's now (although if he hadnt missed those six games, probably wouldnt be where he is now.) Expect a good year from him netx year as well!

Thats a good point about Mooney and the Colbert deal. Did Kelly (Pick 17) also come as part of that deal? If that is the case, how funny is that now, to see the pain North were inflicted by those 2 on Sun and their player is a long time retired!
Just speaking of Moondog and what he gives the team, I reckon what he said on 3AW is an absolute classic and simply put "All Mooney" about the Pregame scuffle! Apparantly he saw Nth run through them the first time and then on the 2nd time, he decided enough was enough and roughed a few of them up! Absolute awesome! Can't believe where he's come from to now be the leader that he is!

Sorry my mistake! Kelly was part of the Bizzell deal at Melb. We actually got pick 15 with Moondog but unfortunatley we used that on Spriggs!!! Still happy though!!!!
