i thought he played very well, fed the ball out to our runners most time,which now is his job.

had to love that passage of play where Campo got the contested ball in tight, fed it out to Winda, who in turn gave it to Watson who cooly slotted it from outside 50 on the run!

I had to watch the replay to make sure I wasnt seeing things!

He played well, and as well as anyone could have hoped for in his first game I would suggest. Hopefully he steps up again this week.

Lovett supposedly out for 6, NLM needs a couple of runs in the magoos but Hislop in the best on the weekend and Nash BOG for bendigo will be the ones putting pressure on him, both will be in our 22 before seasons out.

Thought Campo's game was servicable on the weekend, we know that he doesn't get contested stats but his delivery into the F50 is what we need, he has class.

Just wish we could win a game with F50 entries..

This is where you are unfair in your judgement of him.

We all know that he is not the real tough hard contested posession type player and no one would say he is.

Yet you keep judging him as if he should be.
Having said that, you wouldn't see him pull out of a contest if he was the one that had to put his body on the line.

For you to bring up "uncontested" posessions as a slight on him, is like saying Jetta got no tap outs.....they are not in there to do that job.

Sheedy said all along we needed some finishing skills and that's the main reason we drafted him, not for contested posessions.

BTW, there is one person on your list as coming back in that imo is softer than campo and has pulled out of contests in the past, including a shocker against North.

Campo was very good offencively and used it pretty well. If only we could get him to chase his man a few times and even attempt the odd tackle rather than just setting up a lazy zone. Several times he simply let players run off while he trailed along at half pace. I know he is an outside player and his role is to recieve it and set things up but he does have to show some sort of defencive effort during a game.
