Camporeale has officially been appointed VC for 2005 with Barnaby French, Matthew Lappin, Ian Prendergast, Nick Stevens, David Teague and Lance Whitnall in the 2005 Leadership group.
No disrespect for Camporeale who has been a brilliant player, but should we have opted for a younger player such as Tbird to complement Kouta?

P.S Great article on Livo in Inside Football today and Carlton are one of four team featured with our supposed best 22 according to Inside Footy. Livo say he plans to add another 2 kgs and play at 97-98 kilos and was the fastest over 5 m and 2nd over 20 m in testing one day.

nah, i'm pleased it's Campo again. Not only does he deserve such recognition for his many years of great service to the club, but he's a terrfic role model for our young crew.

Let the young-uns like Thornton (why has he been given such a puncy nickname as TBird?) concentrate on developing their game.

totally agree ... campo is a legend and has been a terrific servent ... he deserves this opportunity ... im a little suprised stevens wasn't given vc as well ... he and campo led the way when kouta was injured last year.

Yeah I'm dispointed Stevo didn't sneak into VC but Campo does deserve it, Stevens will most definatly take a bigger role at the club within the next 2 seasons.. I think he'd make a great captain.

Brilliant player on his day and probably does deserve more respect for his football than he gets. I was going to say the opposite but maybe that's because I'm a hard marker.

Campo has given us more years of service than Stevens. He is also only one of two premiership players at Carlton. I'm rapt for him!

Good decision on Campo, in my opinion. Had a very solid 2004, and deserves the VC role.

campo deserves it. i was very suprised, and impressed, with how well he took over while kouta was out. he lifted his game, and doubled his efforts with tackles, 2nd efforts and all the things a good captain does.
