It's just been confirmed on SEN that in the second quarter of the Geelong-Adelaide match, the ARC intervened after 20 seconds to award a free kick during a throw-in to Adelaide.
The ARC did not have any other footage to go on besides what we saw on TV, where there was no disposal but a tap.
The question which the AFL currently are not answering is whether the ARC intervened to pay deliberate.
Either way, it directly led to Rachele scoring a goal for Adelaide.
Now we have two goal-related ARC stuff-ups.
(PS it looks like Rankine should have been penalised late in the fourth quarter, too ... the AFL saying a player should be penalised if they are touching the ball in an attempt to prevent a lasso ... and they still haven't said anything about the kick directly to the boundary line later in the quarter, too)
