Port have won 37 flags. If Port win the flag and than Port win the flag will that be 2004, 2005 2005A or how does it get explained. Will it therefore be 37 + 1 + 1 = 39.

Which raises the question can Collingwood enter a side in the SANFL and beat Essendon in the premiership count?

No. I'm sure you know that. Port haven't won 37. PAFC - 34 sanfl and 1 afl.
If the Power win the AFL premiership, it doesn't count towards the PAMFC and vice versa.

Collingwood are welcome to apply for SANFL membership. However, you cannot play in black and white, and you can't call yourself Magpies. They are already taken, sorry.

My answer would be no, Port Adelaide Football Club cannot win two premierships in one year. Prior to 1997 PAFC was winning premierships in the SANFL, now it is winning premierships in the AFL.
