Deledio, Chappy etc could be on 800k next year, then 200k the years after.

But it could just be the impression we give through our philosophy of not targeting big money free agents - the media infers it's because we lack cap space.

It'll be somewhere close to those two options IMO. Tuck, McGuane, and White would've been on low wages this year, so it's not them.

Correct. 100% correct. The refusing to budge on Martin and Conca has thrown the media on this issue. Richmond won't offer Dusty more than 500k has turned into Richmond CAN'T offer Dusty any more.

Good news is we can put Dan Jackson on the veterans list this season and Deledio the next, plus Deledio has a front-loaded contract (or at least I heard) so that opens up a lot of cash for players coming out of contract in 2/3 years, right when our window is wide open.

The timing is excellent as our window is opening from next year, as much as us supporters don't want to admit it.

In 2/3 years we should've already been around Collingwood's level of the past few years and instead of facing a cap squeeze we have the option of either paying our young players more or recruit a few FAs to get us over the final hurdle.

We also dont have many players to sign up next season as they were mostly done this year. If we dont sign anyone big this season we can go after a big name next year.

We've had more trouble fitting our players into the cap, than Geelong, Sydney and Hawthorn in the their 5-6years of success. How much exactly are we paying for Lids, Jack, Cotch and Dusty?? Christ, we almost didnt have enough to pay Conca!! A 3rd year player with a good - at best - start to his career.

How the hell does that happen? Who is taking all the cash and how on earth can player/club honestly justify it? No one has achieved anything... yet we're hamstrung in trying to attract players at a calibre of Adams level?

**** me... how are we going to manage the expectations of our players next time they come out of contract? Right when we should be expecting a flag.

You got some inside info pal on what our cap percentage is? Just because we didn't go all in for some FA this year doesn't necessarily mean we are close to the cap does it?

Post the link or info you have so we can see how bad our list management really is. You never know the club may just be a bit smarter than some think.

Let's hope. But the commentary in the rags has been that we've got nothing in the bank. for a team that was win off a top four spot, does not seem to be right "to be keeping our powder dry" for 2015. And by then... Martin and co start coming out of contract again.
