Me and a mate were talking about that fight that happebed between phil matera and richard taylor(traded from hawthorn) at west coast training. does anyone know what this was over, it was a pretty nasty brawl wasnt it?

Nah it wasn't that bad, it was captured by the news team at the ground for training. If I recall correctly, Richie Taylor was tagging Fido and was being rather rigourous, Fido got a bit worked up, bit of a wrestle and took a swing, got him a good one. Nothing major really, they are apparantly good mates and it was mostly a heat of the moment thing.

Taylor still got recalled for the next game (which was against your mob, a great win to get into the 2002 finals for us), but I'm pretty sure it was his last for the club.

Yep, Taylor never played another game for West Coast after that.

Thats not true. He played in the final game of the season rd 22 vs Roos at Manuka oval.
