After early signs of over-training and fatigue, can the Crows overcome adversity and win the premiership, one that has slipped through their fingers quite often over the last decade.

Who will be the difference? This team lacks star quality, but they work toegther cohesively. Can the no-names do it? :)

I think the stars are there but people just dont recognise them; Edwards is a classic example.
We must get through the next game first...then, to repeat a cliche, anything can happen. If we dont shy away from the big stage and take our chances on the scoreboard:rolleyes: we are a big chance.

"slipped throught their fingers quite often " - how do you work that one out. Other than 97/98 the only time we have been a real chance was in 2005.

Yes they can but they have 2 mighty challengers in front of them.:p

And you have 3, but don’t drop that ball on the first obstacle.

Very confident that we can win. Whether we do or not is another question!

I am sure this is meant to encourage us to boldly declare yes we can and then sit back and say Crows supporters are arrogant

Whatever ( in the best ValleyGirl voice)

To answer the question: Yes the Crows can still win the Premiership. So can the other 5 sides still ''alive''

and you are not yet one of them.

and seeing as they thumped you last time, you are staring down the barrell of yet another weagles straight sets finals exit.

Until I say you are not a chance you are still in it and so far this year I haven't said so yet.
Stay tuned. :p

We are going to be one of four teams left in the race. One of two teams with a home prelim and a weeks break. Of course we can still win it. Stupid question.

I have to say I agree, everything I have read makes them sound similar to our cousins, the only real difference is that they actually do a basis to claim superiority over Freo whereas Port fans just keep delivering promises that dont happen.

Can we still win the flag with our depleted stocks??

If we play as we did in the last 3 and a half quarters of the Freo game - yes.

Every player busting his gut to do the team thing for the team.

Anything less than that and the answer is no.

The key is that your style is not overly reliant on any one player in any department this year.
Last year Hudson was just that sort of player and once you lost him just before the finals there wasn't enough time for your other players to adjust.
This year you have had injuries and the like but it hasn't affected the team play as such.
Having said that, Bassett and Stiffy have become just that with McLeod and Burton gone, Stiffy in particular, but as long as both of them are playing you are a chance. Harder perhaps, but a chance nevertheless.

1. The signs of over-training & fatigue have gone the last 2 weeks, which you would know if you were watching the Dees or Freo game.

2. We haven't quite often let the premiership slip through our fingers. Sure we blew in against the Saints in the 1st fnal last year, but apart from that you are stretching things!

3. The difference is that we are playing well with an even team performance ... tough I expect Burton to be back for the Prelim & Roo perhaps for the Grand Final if we make it.

I rate our chances at about 40%.

Gee that was so tough of Mickey O , What a ******** it's a pitty he ran up to the wrong supporter.

Seriously what the hell would have happened if someone did punch him straight in the head , he would probably cry to the police and what a mighty uproar there would have been.

Of course they can. They will face either Sydney or Freo in the GF, teams they'd be pretty confident of beating. Many worte them off before the Melbourne game, but after 2 solid performances they could be back in town, and should be faves for the flag IMO.
